One would expect this ballet to be superior and it was. The performers were superb in the dancing and acting abilities.

We opted for Swanlake. The Opera is a must, it is marvellous. Some of the dancers were world-class and the costumes just beautiful. The audience, mostly Odessites, was enthusiastic and opera lovers, we could tell. Very interesting place to observe the local population. Not to be missed.

Stunning. Stupendous. Opulent. Beautiful. The Opera House astounds. A warm, inviting place. Talented performers. I have been to this place numerous times. It is fabulous.

I've been to many national theaters throughout Europe. Many say Vienna is the best. I don't understand why. After the renovation is theater is, in a word, ethereal. And Tickets are anywhere from $4-40. Good seats for $15 for top quality ballet company performances.

I met my future wife out in front of the Opera House. We are very happy. We met there on the mornings of both our first and second dates. There is a huge fountain on on side and a courtyard with outdoor restaurants on the other side. The Opera House seems to be central to all that is Odessa.

While the venue was wonderful, the ballet performance was only good. It was an enjoyable evening and I will return here for future events.

In a few days I could see World class opera and ballet. Tchaikovsky, Minkus, Rossini. La Bayadère, Iolantha, The Barber of Seville, The Sleeping Beauty. Splendid!

Don't bother to book a tour round the Opera House, Buy a ticket for a performance and spend as long as you wish looking round. We bought tickets on the back row of the stalls where there are only two seats each side of the central aisle and the cost was only approx. £2.50 each.

the most beautiful Opera house in Easter Europe, second in beauty in the World! Be ready, though to read in Ukrainian if you're going to see the Opera because subtitles are in that language. Ballet is your better option although if you need help understanding the plot you'll need to brush up on your Ukrainian, lol Ticket price is so... More

A beautiful building, very worth a visit at least for sightseeing. They say it is one of the largest opera buildings in Europe and it definitely looks so! Even if you only walk around, you'll still admire the architecture.
