The statue might not be so outstanding, but it's the surrounding streets and park that is the appeal.
Not sure why this would be a big destination. It is a statue in a nice setting. There's nothing special about this piece. It is part of a larger plaza that is a pleasant stroll but not really a destination in itself.
Not sure why this spot is listed at all. The area is overall nice but this statue is hardly worth mentioning as a tourist destination. It's like adding garden benches to the list.
What does Odessa have in common with Rhodes, Florence, and Rome? This monument of Laocoon from Greek mythology. In Odessa, this is a replica. If it is on your way, stop by to see this symbol of Odessas' golden cultural past.
You don't need to pay to see this statue. It is in front of the Archeological Museum. Nice that it's in a public place. We have seen it in other places such as the Uffizi Gallery in Florence but liked this one best because of the public outdoor location.
