I did a trip with them that involved summiting 7 volcanoes over two weeks. Everything went off with without a hitch. A truly professional organization. If you are planning on doing any adventure travel in Guatemala, then look no further. More

So back in December a friend and I bored in Antigua thought hey lets climb that massive volcano next to Volcan de Fuego so we can camp overnight and watch Fuego erupt seeing how active it is. That massive volcano is Volcan Acatenango with a peak at around 3900m above sea level. So we go into Old Town to arrange... More

In November, I traveled to Antigua and did a volcano hike and camp-out up Acatenango with OTO. This was a trip I had wanted to do since my last visit to Guatemala so I was very excited. The owner, Matt, was our guide and he was friendly, knowledgeable, well-prepared, and funny. The scenery hiking up Acatenango was beautiful and when... More

I went on a Double Header trip with old time outfitters a few days ago. That's a 3 days 2 nights hike up volcanoes fuego and acantenango. It was also my first hike, which was pretty ignorant on my part but certainly with no regrets. They stated it was a severe hike, but I candidly assumed that I would be... More

I have been traveling through Guatemala for the last several months, and the highlight of my trip thus far has been the Old Town Outfitters hike and campout on the Acatenango volcano. The trip started in Antigua, where I ate at fun and tasty restaurants. I had a lot of fun with the other hikers and guide. The scenery was... More

My fiancé and I eloped to Guatemala and booked what we hoped would be the trip of a lifetime. We booked 7 days of activities and 9 nights with many meals provided. It was expensive at $4,775.00 (not including airfare) but we had a very good guide to ourselves for 7 days of our 10 day trip (including two travel... More

We here at Old Town Outfitters are deeply saddened by some of the events that took place on this recent trip to Guatemala. We pride ourselves on creating and delivering unique, safe, and fun travel experiences. This trip had a couple of breakdowns across the board at Old Town Outfitters that when compounded had a negative effect on your experience.... More

An amazing trek the day after Christmas, what more could one ask for? The scenery, the expertise of our guide Fernando( his 5th in the week), the amazing experience of a life time, hiking on an active volcano! Made the start of my travels in Guatemala one to write home about! More

I recently completed a Guatemalan mountain bike trip with the fine folks at Old Town Outfitters, and I could not be happier with the experience. They are total professionals. The pre-trip planning and communication was great, and the logistics were flawless during the entire trip. The OTO team obviously put their work in before we arrived. The biking routes OTO... More

The best intoxicated impulse internet purchase. I did a multi-day mountain bike trip and if I was not owned by an organization I would run right back to Guatemala! The Guides were extremely knowledgeable, helpful, comforting, and most importantly HILARIOUS! Riding fun and challenging trails and experiencing the culture with a group of like minded people left an indelible imprint... More

If you are interested getting out of crowded Antigua for a few hours (or days) booking a trip with OTO is a must. Their bike tours give you a beautiful view of the valley from a perspective that you would not generally see. Guides were well informed, friendly and made our excursion very safe. We will definitely look them up... More
