It is one of the oldest building in Centeral American Very interesting . It has been damaged Many times. The " PARK is accross the street. ONE of Antigua Free "B"s
maybe in the past it has been a great and important place... now it gave us an idea of a past glory... talking to the locals we found out that they just manage to avoid to trasform it in a mall... luckilly... born2travel.it
There is not much to see here other than the front of the building that faces the park. However, the architecture completes the whole Spanish-colonial experience of the central park area.
What a great piece of Guatemalan history. Unfortunately, there's nothing to really see inside, since they are currently housing some government offices. It's a great place to hang out and enjoy a coffee and get out of the rain. And you won't be alone. Most everyone at the parks seeks shelter under here when the rain catches them off guard...

Lots of history and a nice building, altough a bit neglected - I imagine lack of funds. It has lots of potential.
Located on the Plaza in Antigua the edifice is stunning. Mnay of the structures around the Plaza are worth visiting and taking photos of.
You will enjoy this beauty of the central square and it is particularly stunning at night when lit.
