Of all the Churches in Antigua Guatemala this is my choice. You can walk outside past the stations of the cross. In the court yard of the church I don't like this part kind of an open market with people selling all that kind of tourist stuff you see all over Antigua. The ruins are amazing to walk through. I... The devotion shown by locals... I am not sure if this is the 'Hermano Pedro' church. IF you visit Antigua Guatemala, Guatemala, you must visit the Hermano Pedro Church! More

I loved this site. You must start at the exterior of the church, go through it and then pass back to the ruins of the first church that was devastated by an earthquake. I could have spent hours there admiring all the colors and shapes of the ruins. Unbelievable! Rivals Rome and Ancient Greece in my opinion. More

The plaza around the church was beaming with food and craft sellers plus all the religious parafernalia. My husband got into a conversation with an old priest who was sitting outside of the church just enjoying the sunny afternoon and told him all about the history of the place. The grounds and gardens are very well kept and just beautiful.... More

Walk to the side of the church and pay the minimal amount to tour the ruins. They are extensive, and unlike many of the ruins in Antigua, there's a lot of green space. More

The clothes of Brother Pedro which are over 300 years old are on display in the museum. I thought this exhibit was fascinating. First that the clothes could last so long, and second because it made imagining Brother Pedro so much easier. Finally, the exhibit was interesting because the underwear were made out of rope. They looked exceedingly uncomfortable! It... More
