We had a very disappointing day to see Lake Atitlan. We scheduled the day with Carlos several at Guiness Tours weeks in advance, but my husband was sick the night before the trip. Carlos said no problem, that we could go the following day. However, the next day Carlos arrived and said that his associate (who did not speak English)... More

After experiencing the hassels of seeing Tikal without a guide, we opted to try Guinness Travel in Antigua for the rest of our trip. Thank Goodness!! Carlos, the owner, personally made all arrangements and came through on all that he promised. Always punctual, reliable and comfortable transportation, safe driver, we saw Lake Atitlan (had a wonderful boat tour) and the... More

Our family just returned from a nine day tour with Guinnes Travel. After reading the reviews on Trip Advisor, I wondered how Carlos could live up to my expectations. Carlos and his associates exceeded them in every way. . Every detail of our trip was planned perfectly. We were fortunate to have Carlos as our guide. My wife and I... More

I utilized Guinness Travel for airport transfers from Guatemala City to Antigua round-trip. Working with Carlos was an exceptional experience. From my first inquiry email he was proactive and responsive. I planned to hire a few tours while I was in Antigua with Guinness, but my work there took priority, but I was extremely satisfied with the service I received... More

Traveling with Guinness Travel is a breeze. The trips are well planned, well run, and the guides are helpful and fun to be around. I always felt safe and could enjoy my trips - to Tikal and later to El Zonte, El Salvador - fully without having to worry. I would recommend Guinness Travel to anyone going to Antigua or... More

Carlos is a really great guide. He took us to Sumpango to see the kite festival during the day of the dead. He's organized, and gives great advice on other aspects of your stay. More

So I did two trips with Guinness Travel (that should tell you something right there). First trip was the tour to Tikal, Rio Dulce and Livingston. From the very start could tell Carlos was an extremely professional operator. 10 seater, fully air conditioned comfortable waiting for us exactly on time. In we go and we're off. Carlos is an extremely... More

My husband, sister and I volunteered in Antigua in May 2011. We were lucky that the volunteer organization Maximo Nivel had Carlos in their front entry. Carlos is the very professional, down to earth owner of Guinness Travel. There are so many travel organizations in Antigua that and many seem questionable. It can often be difficult to tell the good... More

After reading many reviews my family decided to go to El Salvador as a side trip. Carlos (owner) picked us up at the hotel on time and drove carefully to El Salvador. I'm always concerned when traveling with young teenagers but had no concerns with Carlos. We always felt safe, although there was nothing to be concerned about. The lodge... More

This is an excellent tour company, the difference being that Carlos (the owner) genuinely enjoys meeting his clients and keeping them entertained and informed. We spent Christmas on the surfing trip, although we spent a lot of time surfing, we also ate local food, visited the local market and a beautiful seaside restaurant. The surfing instructors were great and all... More
