We took two tours on this trip to the Vineyard. One was a kayak tour, with our guide Matt. He was very informational and we had a great time. The tour takes you out to the salt marsh and then to a beach for a little beach time, then back to the Dyke Bridge. Our second tour was the Cape... More

Chappaquiddick and the Cape Poge Lighthouse didn't hold much interest for my family members, but I had read about this tour from other posters, so I booked it anyway. And am I ever glad that I did! From the beginning, with our guide, Mary, the tour of the island was awesome! Mary was knowledgeable and friendly, and riding along the... More

We recently visited Martha’s Vineyard. My goal for the week was to visit all five lighthouses on the island. On our second day there I found that the Cape Poge Lighthouse on Chappaquiddick was nearly inaccessible. I called one tour company who didn’t run a tour there but directed me to the Trustees of the Reservation. With one phone call... More

Our guide, Jack, was so knowledgeable and had great passion for Chappaquiddick, Martha's Vineyard, and the lighthouse. He made sure to get to know each person in our group and make sure to point out specific things or mention facts that he/she would be interested in. I feel like I got to see an entirely different side of the Martha's... More

We biked over to Chappy with the intent to see the Japanese gardens and hit the beach. While there we met one of the trustees and decided to take the tour. THis was THE highlight of our entire trip to the vineyard. The trustee was very knowledgeable with local flora, fauna, and local history. The Chappy lighthouse was great to... More

In 2010 we went to Chappy on the lighthouse tour and had such a nice time. We had seen all 4 island lighthouses and wanted to see the 5th one. They took such good care of us. Then last year on our last day we went back to Chappy and had a tour guide from New Hamshire. She was so... More

Easily the highlight of our trip was the children eating sea pickles and shelling in this beautiful locale.

This was one of the best tours that I have ever taken and I have traveled a lot in the US and out! Our guide was amazing--full of interesting information and tips. The ride in the safari truck over the sand dunes was fun. The visit to the Cape Poge lighthouse was really something else. The views from the lighthouse... More

Even tho you are minutes away from Edgartown via the Chappy ferry, a visit to the Cape Poge Lighthouse with the Trustees of Reservations feels like a world apart. Make your reservations by phone in advance for this 1.5 hour tour. They pick you up at the ferry & bring you to the spot where you load onto open-air trucks... More

The Trustees of Reservations offer several tours on Chappaquidick. Our group of 5 took the 1 1/2 hour Lighthouse Tour. It's fun to go to the front of the line for the Chappy ferry and walk right on as a foot passenger. On the other side, you can arrange to be picked up by a van (free) and be taken... More
