We tried to go on Wauwinet, but didn't have 4WD so ended up driving down Pocomo rd to the end. Such a relaxing beach, not many people and a beautiful sandbar you can set your chair in, break out your book and feel like your living Zach Brown's "toes". Nice if you're looking for low-key, family friendly area.

wonderful place. first class resort. Good old fashioned American service at its best! We had connecting rooms as staying with children, lovely spacious room, great facilities, mini bar very reasonable, which was a nice surprise! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, close to Chatham, which was very pretty. Staff were great, impeccable service. Good food, great atmosphere! Will return.

This is an amazing slice of Nantucket and priced accordingly. If you are worried at all about budget skip this hotel and look elsewhere. But if you are in a position to splurge, everything about the Wauwinet is Nantucket perfect. Great spa. Excellent restaurant (although service when we were there - early in the season - was a bit uneven),... More

Very beautiful setting but a hike to get there. We went to Toppers, which we thought would be a casual restaurant on the beach...it was extremely formal and pricey. Very nice if that's what you want, we just didn't expect that...

One of the finest meals I have ever had. Service was impeccable and food divine, very old world, sat in the main dinning room and had drinks out doors with the gorgeous water view. Will sit in garden patio next time, ties with Chanticlear for best ACK fine dining

I love going to the Wauwinet for lunch or diner. The atmosphere is so relaxing enhanced by the food. The oysters are local and to die for! Briney with a lingering sweetness.

We were saying at a sister property and decided to go here for dinner. We ordered the tasting menu and after the second course, realized what we were being served wasn't what was on the menu. The server confirmed this and said, oh yes, the menu HAD changed a few days before. Hmmmm, okay then what am I eating? If... More

Spent 3 hrs on a recent morning marveling at the beauty of this area. Seals, birds, and a mile of brown sugar sand beach await you.

If you come to Nantucket to relax and "get away from it all" then the Wauwinet is a step further along that path. It is literally on the other side of the Island, about as far from "town" as one can get. It is both luxurious and relaxing in the best old world hotel sense. The staff is most pleasant... More

Great place to cool down from work and daily headaches. The hotel is a b&b establishment with a great restaurant. Everybody at the front desk were very helpful. I little far away from the city if you stay for more than a weekend . Overall you will enjoy nature and peace . Don't come in winter :)))))
