The lighthouse is a short drive from the center of Nantucket. You could walk to it, as well. Parking is definitely a problem, as the streets that are nearby all have NO PARKING signs. This is a small lighthouse put the first to see what you sale in Nantucket Harbor. It is a wonderful place to walk out to, sit on the beach and look at the harbor, watch the boats and watch the people. Great photo ops.

Brant point is well known and is the 1st light house you see when you arrive by Ferry. I have seen many pictures of it but seeing it in person is amazing.

A short walk from town and you felt you were in another world. Would have liked to have more onsite information.

We got to climb to the top (27 feet) and see the interior on Saturday, 9/20 during the Maritime Festival. Brant Point Lighthouse is open once a year during this festival in September. Don't miss this opportunity if you happen to be in Nantucket during the festival weekend.

We walk the beach there and pick up great shells. This is the entrance to the harbor so it's fun to watch the activity

It's the first thing you see as you come in with the Nantucket Ferry, almost a symbol of Nantucket! It's a great place to just sit back and relax with a book, great to come here for a walk after summer and have a sorbet or ice cream cones.
