Super charming

Easy access, gorgeous backdrop of the harbor with boats passing by. Peaceful spot. Go early for a higher likelihood of avoiding larger groups of tourists.

The Brant Point lighthouse is only a short walk from downtown Nantucket and should not be missed for a taste of nautical New England. The walk down Easton street takes you past the White Elephant hotel, several fine Nantucket homes, and the Coast Guard station. At Brant Point you will likely see people surf casting, sailboats, and at least one... More

If you are a day tripper, this is the only lighthouse that is within easy walking distance. Make sure you have a working camera. Find the Whaling Museum and proceed to Easton Street via South Beach Street. When you get to Easton at the intersection, take a right. As you are walking, you will pass the main White Elephant lobby... More

On June 22, 2015, we walked over from the ferry dock to visit the Brant Point Lighthouse. We didn't go into it, but just walked the area surrounding it. Nice spot to watch the ferry boats comes in. A short walk out of town from the docks. The lighthouse is picturesque for us photographers. Nice to see. Worth the walk.

Great view of the harbor with ships and boats coming and going. We walked there after eating at Brant Grille. It's a little walk for the east side of Town, but a nice stroll if the weather is nice.

This is the lighthouse you see when first ferrying into Nantucket. It is about a 5-10 min walk from the ferry docks to Brant Point. It's a nice photo opportunity and chance to walk along a little beach and collect some shells. It's definitely a nice quick stop while on Nantucket.

A nice walk--and you can watch the ferry go by. A favorite spot for photos. It looks private but like all the other beaches on Nantucket--it's not.

Brant point is really close to Nantucket town and worth the short walk. The lighthouse itself is interesting to look at, but better is to walk to the water's edge at the turning point of the harbor and watch the boats and ferries go by and look across at the sandbar. Pick up a shell or two, and there are... More

Historic and iconic. Such a cute lighthouse, known to be many artists inspiration. The beach is cute too, and you can watch boats come into the harbor.

This is the smallest lighthouse of three on the island. It is small but beautiful with large boats passing close by, the occasional fisherman at its base, and wild roses covering the vegetation that surrounds the beach. We took off our shoes and waded into the surf for a memorable experience.
