We visited here on the last day if our stay and should have come earlier so we could spend more time. Looks small from the outside but many rooms inside packed full of personal items and historical research on the early years in Norfolk Island, well worth a visit if Australian European history is your interest

Only $10 to see the most amazing collection of material about Norfolk Island. History, ethnography, old cameras.... the lot. Much of it lovingly collected by the present owner's late husband. He also wrote up huge amounts of material IN INK and kept it in highly organised and cross-indexed ledgers. Don't miss this amazing museum. See it while you can.

By far and away, the most item packed museum on the island. It is a PRIVATE museum, yet still only charges $10 admission - the same as the government ones.

I think they must throw nothing away on Norfolk Island, the displays are very lifelike, the only critisisym I would make is, that the exhibits were a it dusty.

During our recent trip to Norfolk Island we visited all the museums in Kingston and were caught up in the dark history of the two settlements and the atrocities that were dealt to the convicts. It was a very pleasant experience to see another side to the Island's development with some amazing displays of antiques and historical artefacts from Norfolk's... More

I was only told about this museum by another person who had visited it the day before. It wasn't on my list of places to visit as I had already visited all the museums in Kingston. I was pleased that I did as it was very good and has such a variety of displays and antiques from Norfolk's earlier years.... More

Amazing display of historical artefacts. Take time to absorb yourself in the history and tie this in with other tours and museums on the island.

A good core of information on the Bounty. However much of the large collection is "stuff" that can be found in many other mainland museum. A bit higgledy piggledy without updated information. Many of the hand drawn posters are a museum within the museum.

What a wonderful museum so much to see, read and learn about the history of Norfolk. The lovely lady (Moira) was very helpful and also an interesting lady to speak to. There is so much reading material (researched by her late husband) about the different settlements of Norfolk. It cost $10 and it was well worth it, my husband and... More
