Located cnr Middlemount Rd & Queen Elizabeth Drive diagonally opposite the school. in my opinion, by far the best museum (& privately run) on the Island. Got stuff from convict days, whaling days, WW 2 days, resettlement of Pitcairn Islanders etc. Entry only about $10 (cheaper than the others) and the lady who owns/runs it is only too helpful to... Don't miss this one. We arrived half hour b4 closing. Only saw one room out of 5 plus. Lovely owner Moira said come back anytime. Old photos dating to 1800's. Pistols, Muskets, Cameras, Medical equip, literature, etc etc. Most comprehensive display. only $10. So glad we visited.

What a collection! Lots of interesting things to see. Very interesting experience. At $10, the entry price seemed reasonable. Glad we visited.

We visited here on the last day if our stay and should have come earlier so we could spend more time. Looks small from the outside but many rooms inside packed full of personal items and historical research on the early years in Norfolk Island, well worth a visit if Australian European history is your interest

Only $10 to see the most amazing collection of material about Norfolk Island. History, ethnography, old cameras.... the lot. Much of it lovingly collected by the present owner's late husband. He also wrote up huge amounts of material IN INK and kept it in highly organised and cross-indexed ledgers. Don't miss this amazing museum. See it while you can.

By far and away, the most item packed museum on the island. It is a PRIVATE museum, yet still only charges $10 admission - the same as the government ones.

I think they must throw nothing away on Norfolk Island, the displays are very lifelike, the only critisisym I would make is, that the exhibits were a it dusty.

During our recent trip to Norfolk Island we visited all the museums in Kingston and were caught up in the dark history of the two settlements and the atrocities that were dealt to the convicts. It was a very pleasant experience to see another side to the Island's development with some amazing displays of antiques and historical artefacts from Norfolk's... More

I was only told about this museum by another person who had visited it the day before. It wasn't on my list of places to visit as I had already visited all the museums in Kingston. I was pleased that I did as it was very good and has such a variety of displays and antiques from Norfolk's earlier years.... More
