The Ward Reservation and Holt Hill are a wonderful destination for family or adult walks. There is one steep paved access road that takes you to the summit of Holt Hill where there is a solstice stone set up and an amazing view of the Boston skyline (if the weather is clear). Other trails are well marked and follow former... More

Nice hike for the whole family. Visited as part of the bay circuit hike. The solstice near the fire tower gives an amazing view of the Boston city. Mostly wide trails and not too bushy so very suitable for kids.

I found this hike online and loved it! Very easy trail, it took about an hour! The top of Holt hill has a sundial and great view of the Boston skyline!! Don't miss the bog trail, not very long but very peaceful. It consists of a boardwalk that ends in a pretty pond! One of the hills (Boston) was closed... More

This is a really nice place to cycle to and then enjoy the walks. There is a lovely meadow and a 'bog' walk. There can be lots of bugs so you do need to spray with repellent beforehand.

A well-marked selection of trails take you through open meadows, through woodlands, to the waters edge and up to viewing points. Today (June) the meadowlands were buzzing with bugs, attracting small swooping birds. A snake made my husband jump as it zipped off the woodland path into the undergrowth. And we saw a heron on the flooded Rubbish Meadow. A... More

Holt Hill, Boston Hill and Shrub Hill make up this reservation. All types of terrain good for walking, light hiking and mountain biking. Don't miss the bog or the views of Boston from the crest of the hills. The best signage on trails we've see. This is a Trustees of Reservations property and is free to all.

Well marked and well maintained trails. Many trails of varying lengths. Great views. A good place to go if you have only an hour of time or more. Parking at trail head. It is free. Closes at dusk

You can see Boston from the top of the hill. Nature at its best in New England for glorious hikes. Conveniently located in Andover. Do not miss this jewel.
