One of the many fascinating experiences resulting from my Cruise to St Helena was a trip to Longwood House, where Napoleon spent his last days, when exiled to one of the worlds remotest island in the South Atlantic. The walk down, to what is the now empty tomb, ( His remains were later re interred in Paris) is fairly steep.... More

A beautiful, peaceful spot. The fairy terns were our only company. Knowing the tab was empty only added to the awesome atmosphere.
