This memorial is beautiful. Even with snow on the ground, it doesn't distract from the beauty of the memorial. Overlooking the memorial brings a sense of calmness and gratitude. This is definitely recommended for all ages. It is easy to find and parking is available which makes it great for larger groups of visitors.

After passing this memorial many times on the way to downtown Annapolis, we stopped with relatives to take a closer look. It is well worth the time. Great scenic views with plenty of historical facts about WWII and the men and women of Maryland who served our country.

The memorial is situated on the high bank of the Severn and provides a scenic view on the Naval Academy and parts of the city, as well the bridge across the river.

Being somewhat of a WW2 buff, I have visited countless War Memorials and, in comparison to this Memorial, many are better, some are worse. To be truthful, we discovered this one rather by chance, not intent, as we were heading towards the US Naval Academy. I found the Memorial set in a picturesque setting, albeit one straddled on two sides... More

This is a beautiful memorial, filled with interesting stories and facts. It is beautifully designed and has an awesome view. It doesn't take much time to see it all, but it is well worth the stop! What a special memorial to give thanks to all those who gave their lives for our freedom.

Along route 450 in Maryland, across from The Annapolis Naval Academy along the Severn River, you can park at the Maryland World War II Memorial. It has a wonderful view of the Naval Academy and the river. There are two inlaid maps: the war in the Atlantic and the war in the Pacific. It is a fitting tribute to the... More

If you have been to a war memorial in dc then there is not much point in going to this one. It's physically in between 2 high speed roads so it's noisy and polluted. I think this memorial is closer to disrespectful than anything due to its terrible location. If anyone gives this memorial above 3 stars they haven't seen... More

Off the beaten path. You might even miss it if you approach from the north. Elegantly done. Small parking area "uphill" from the memorial but there is parking at Jonas Landing park walking distance away. A bit of a challenge to take it all in since there is not much land around it. The vista shot from the old observation... More

A beautiful view of the water and a lovely memorial. Very little traffic and it would have gone unnoticed by us had our trolley tour not stopped.
