Take time to read up

This is a very nice memorial, and one I stumbled upon quite on accident. Be sure to read the plaques and take a moment to reflect and enjoy the historical significance.

Happened up on this statue just walking around. Sat down for a while and pondered the written message with it. Very nice tribute.

Thurgood Marshall's memorial is next to what used to be the court of appeals. It was sculpted by the son of John Caliver, if I remember correctly. It's nice...worth a few minutes of attention.

I saw this while walking from my hotel to the historic shopping area. Nice memorial - worth seeing and learning more about.

Near the Government House there is a small plaza dedicated to Thurgood Marshall, the late Supreme Court Justice and great civil rights lawyer. The statute is of a young Marshall, behind his statute are pillars with the inscription "Equal Justice Under Law," and facing the statute are two benches. On one bench are statutes of two children.

This is a quiet plaza outside the Annapolis State House, at the gateway to the historic part of the city. There is a great memorial to Rhurgood Marshall, Supeeme Court Justice and statesman. It's important to stop and take account of his contributions while exploring this beautiful area.

Great little park like setting with neat statues of a young Thurgood Marshall walking and some kids sitting on a bench looking at him.

Our walking tour guide mentioned that this area is where lawyers and politician met to discuss cases and bills. I took pic to share with students as Thurgood Marshall is an historic person we study for Virginia Standards of Learning.
