My wife and I have a fondness for Annapolis and this was our 3rd visit to a town that we hope to retire to in the future so we had some knowledge of its history. That was before we (along with 3 guests) spent 2 hours last Saturday morning with "Squire" Marcos. This delightful, costumed gentleman (who holds a Master's... more

Since I had never been to Annapolis before I thought this tour would be a great way to learn about its immense history and even sample some of the local fare; I'm glad I did. A bit heavy on the sweets, though. Oh, and be early - you will be reminded consistently if you run a little late. more

Capital City Colonials is by far the greatest and most knowledgeable history guide Company I have ever come across. The tour guides are interesting and extremely energetic and they love inquisitive tourists. The restaurants and historic sites you get to see on the tour are awesome and make you feel so proud of the country you are in. WONDERFUL TOURS... more

Susan was superb! The places she took us to were a good cross section of life in Colonial Annapolis. We especially liked the quotes and toasts given as we walked along...the listening devices we used were an asset. Susan was very aware of the timing for this tour and kept us moving. We were impressed that she remembered our names.... more

Absoutely delightful..........Had bruschetta and wine and ice cream and an awesome cup cake as well as an Afternon Delight drink that topped off the day perfectly! This tour of Annapolis was fun and interesting. There were a variety of experiences: homes, gardens, historic buildings, interspersed with the personal experience of past and present residents and, of course, good food. There was enough walking that we didn't feel guilty about the food and enough sitting that the walking was enjoyable. A perfect blend. We were a group... more

We did the 101 Tour on 8/1/09 and loved it. Our guide, Squire Marcos, was very knowledgable about the town, its history, and the culture of the colonial era. He gave detailed stories about the town's inhabitants that lightened up the general historical background. It was a short, easy walk. Great bang for the buck too - $16/person for a... more

It was a wonderful tour. Even though we live in the area, we saw so many places in a new way and heard so many new and fun stories. It made us love our Annapolis even more. more

If you are in from out of town, and want to go on a nice walk through town and learn a little about the history of Annapolis this walking tour is great! Make sure you have comfortable shoes..not that the walk is difficult, but always a good idea and bring a bottle of water. There are a few stops along... more
