This walking tour is fantastic. It offers something for all, in that you get a chance to see inside of the State House of Annapolis, which is one of the few State Houses that is actually active and being used, you get to walk the streets and see a lot of shops, you get to see the residential area and... As a veteran of many a walking tour, and as a previous historic site guide myself (many, many years ago) I appreciate how much the personality of the guide, more than the actual itinerary, contributes to the tour experience. Right from the get-go, Squire Richard impressed with his charm, dry wit, knowledge and slightly irreverent delivery. The tour integrated the... More

We crossed paths with Squire Allen on Memorial Day weekend, as his group came by while we were admiring the Thurgood Marshall Memorial, about 30 minutes into a 2 hour tour. His banter was so interesting that we paid to join them as they were entering the State Capitol, and it was well worth it. Everything that you might want... More

We parked at the Annapolis Visitors Center and discovered that we could tour the historic district of Annapolis and The Naval Academy with the same knowledgeable guide, departing right from the Visitors Center. Our excellent, friendly guide had a special interest in architecture, so he was a wealth of information and the 10:30am tour got us to the Academy in... More

I took the walking tour with "Squire Don" on a beautiful September morning and really enjoyed myself while learning so much about Annapolis and American history. It was fun to walk along the old streets where our famous forefathers had been and learn about the historic buildings and events. "Squire Don" seemed to know everything and presented information in a... More

This tour was lovely! It covered much of Annapolis and we learned a lot. Annapolis is such a wonderful place - We've visited in the spring, summer and fall (...it's a bit chilly in the winter with the wind coming off the water) But the shops and sights are terrific and the people were all very friendly. We enjoyed our... More

The historic walking tour of Annapolis was a gift, so I do not know the cost. However, if you have the time and opportunity, you should definitely jump right in. Initially, it was just about 8 of us family members. Three other would-be walkers paid, but had to find a parking spot, which, if you have ever been in Annapolis... More
