Though I'm not sure whether to call this an urban park, I am sure that if you want to get outside in Annapolis, Quiet Waters Park should be your first choice for -- a bike ride, kayak paddle, walk in the woods, or quite siot by the water.

We are lucky we are senior citizens and we get in with no entrance fee. But there are lots of areas for walking and enjoying the river views. (even off season) Now the ice rink is so nice, so big, of course we have not been on a wknd or when school is out. Quite an asset to Annapolis area.

Nice place to relax and take a walk as 3-5 mile loop. In summer there are specialty concerts. If you have a dog there is a fenced play park area for either size big or small. Well maintained paths, picnic pavilions and canoe rental. Highlight of the walk in March was nesting of redtails near the path.

This place is great for a quiet stroll, romp with the dog, or a bike ride. Rent a kayak by the hour -- or bring your own -- and paddle around Harness Creek. The facilities at the visitors center have been upgraded over the last few years (though we have not tried the cafe since Pit Boys received the concession);... More

This is a great year round family destination. Wonderful for picnics and long walks in the Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall. Try your hand at ice skating on the outdoor rink. They offer rental skates for the entire family. Super place to walk your dog as well.

We were looking for a place to take a stroller and walk around. Great trails, fun baby swing for our 8 month old grandson at the playground. Ice skating was fun to watch and I enjoyed the art show going on at the visitor's center.

Our son uses a power wheel chair and we find it a great place to stroll as well as allow him to drive himself.

Having grown up on the incomparable Harness Creek in Annapolis, I know QWP as beautiful and wild woods from well before it was a park. When I heard that it was to be turned into a city park, I quietly despaired. I could not have been more wrong. Annapolis got this park right, leaving a great deal of it wild,... More

If you have never been, it is time to go there. Art, ice skating, kayaking, hiking, walking and personal time with your pets. What else could you ask for??? The price is right.
