After a tour of the Tabasco factory we paid our $10 and drove slowly around this very nice sculptured park. Plenty of places to picnic, alligators galore, loads of birds and we even saw a raccoon which passed very close to us. We really enjoyed the peace and tranquility. Combined with a visit to Tabasco visitor centre it makes a... More

The jungle gardens on Avery Island are open daily 9am - 5pm. Tickets can be bought at the well stocked gift shop for 8$ adult, 5$ child. Don't forget to bring bug spray (DEET), the gardens are lush but the mosquitos are killing! Very much worthwhile to make a drive through the gardens and some walking around to see the... More

I love the many picnic spots. Keep your eyes out for alligators where noted on the map. The bird sanctuary is breathtaking. Drive slowly and take in all the sites.

Have been there several times- so lovely. The Buddha is incredibly beautiful and the water birds are spectacular! Self paced tour that can be walked or driven.

The garden was very well maintained. We saw a lot of birds and alligators. Unfortunately, there was not anything blooming.

It was a beautiful place. You drive throughout and walk on trails. There was alligators in the park sunning. Lots of flowers . Enjoyed seeing the egret nesting with their babies.

The nature tour was the real attraction here. A self-narrated driving tour took you through some of the most beautiful country you will ever see. From the massive live oaks to the gator infested waterways, everywhere you turn it was a new adventure. When we say gator invested, we mean it. We saw at least two dozen of the stealthy... More

Going to Tabasco? You must take in the Jungle Gardens as well. A beautiful area, and a sight you probably will not see anywhere else on your trip and maybe not for years to come. A memorable trip for family and friends!

When you visit this area in Southwest Louisiana, take a right as you pass the guard gate into the Avery Island area and on your right is the ticket office to the Jungle Gardens. Once behind this unassuming gift shop your breath will be taken away by these haunting enormous beauties. They seem as if they are in constant movement,... More

I recommend this attraction! Do the driving tour, but stop at the appointed viewing areas and get out and walk around. The entire area is beautiful and well manicured. We saw alligators, snowy egrets, turtles and a raccoon. Great place for a picnic and some solid family outdoor time. You can throw down a blanket anywhere you want, and there... More
