It is a small local zoo with lots to do. We lived in Louisiana for 6 years and went to the zoo in Alexandiria dozens of time. Every time it seemed like we got to do something new. Kids loved the animals and play areas. My wife loved all the fish in the opnd that went crazy over the fish... More

Some of the animals are doing well, some are not. It's very obvious which ones are not. Obvious, too, from these animals' behavior, that they are simply not doing well in confinement and need a better living space and/or companion animals. I have mixed feelings about zoos in general: they can do a lot of good or a lot of... More

Visited this zoo as a spur of the moment decision. A teacher I work with has told me about it and suggested I check it out Glad I did. It has several designated areas with animals you find native to the area, ex. Louisiana, Africa, Asia. It was a nice enough zoo and it was clean. On the day we... More

reasonably priced.clean, and well organized. Their animals are healthy and well cared for. There just needed to be a better way to view their animals when they are inside the habitats.Wear good walking shoes!

The up dated nature atmosphere for the animals are great! Don't miss the train ride or seeing the Snow tigers!

This is a nice little zoo. Very clean and well maintained. Lots of shade and benches along the way . Train ride was great my kids loved that . It's easy to find but parking is limited if there are any events going on. Staff was helpful and friendly and the price wax reasonable.
