Perhaps one of the most creative thing we saw all vacation. The kids liked it and we the adults liked it. Sure it was silly, crazy, wacky and sometimes dumb - but it was well worth the small admission charge. Oh - the gift shop was really really great. Lots of local crafts and silly gagets. For all you collectors of kitch..this is THE place...mardi gras bead decorated bikes, walls made of old bottles, shard covered buildings and bathroom, A collage makers dream all done with a bit of humor and whimsy we throughly enjoyed ourselves more

If you're a fan of folk art, "outsider art", old roadside attractions ("see the amazing Bassigator!!!", "witness a marvel of science!", etc) then you HAVE to visit the UCM (pronounced "you see 'em") Museum! My family stopped in one afternoon after taking a swamp tour and ended up spending nearly 2 hours there, walking around and talking with the proprietor... more
