Good information, well presented,on the history and development of the canal. The film presentations in Spanish and English repeat regularly and to see the canal, locks et al is a worthwhile visit. Easy to travel from there to other attractions

Wonderful museum and viewing deck. I didn't get to see an actual boat going through the locks, but the museum has nice simulation. You may want to call ahead to see when a boat is scheduled to enter the locks. Don't spend time at restaurant or coffee shop unless it's raining. :)

The entire country exists because of the Canal, so it is unthinkable to not see it while in Panama City! The Visitor Center is well organized: an orientation movie in English and in Spanish starts the visit; then you proceed to the museum and slowly but surely go up a flow to the consecutive exhibits, until you're on the fourth... 15 bucks a person but you'll never learn so much about panama history. Watching a ship go through is great but the place gets packed! The museum is great too, don't miss that!

You can usually see the workings of the locks free from restaurant . The service is snotty and the gift shop is strangely irrelevant ...don't bother with the full tour just have a coffee and save yourself a fortune

I watched the 10 minute movie and enjoyed the history (albiet watered down)- not sure why people would complain about the movie. I liked looking around in the museum as well. Seeing a very large ship go through the lock was also pretty cool. Worth the stop while you're in Panama

We took the city sightseeing hop on hop off bus to get there. The movie was OK and the museum much larger than expected.... More

Greatly informative and well put together. Well worth the visit. Do not fail to have dinner there, sitting right above the locks and watching the many ships pass through. What an interesting experience.
