Good views of the locks, well done museum detailing the canal's fascinating history and the vision for current expansion the canal is undergoing. The $15 price tag seems a little steep but still worthwhile.

Even though it closes at 5pm, they won't let you in from 4.30pm. Best option is to have a drink or lunch in the restaurant on the second floor. To enter you won't have to pay the 15usd for the museum.

The visitor center is located about 5KM out of town,we drove there but most people catch a bus or a taxi, the big red tour bus calls hear if you do a tour on that, taxi"s cost about $10 from the city. There is an entrance fee of $15 per person with discounts for seniors and students.Once inside there is a 3D movie... We decided to take a cab out to Miraflores from Via Espana and found one for $10. When we got there, the entrance fee for no residents was $15. Initially, this seemed a bit high but when we got in found it to be worthwhile. You are directed to head up to the 4th level viewing deck. There, you are... More

This is a very well-done museum with great displays and exhibits starting with the canal's history and ending with the current expansion projects. Our favorite part was the canal navigation simulator. It gives a feel for what a canal pilot sees and does while taking a huge container ship through the locks. In addition to the museum, the viewing balconies... More

It was so hot and buses of people dropped off every few minutes. Too Crowded but it is a piece of History. The admission was $15.00 but the waits and the people make it not a great experience. I would not go again but would tell everyone to try it but get there at 8:30 AM so you get a... More

The ships arrive right in front of you! The museum admissions price was $15 per person. Go before 4 pm.

While watching the locks in operation, the crew members educated us about the formation and processing of the vessels; large and small.

Nice view of the canals and the locks. I liked the museum as everything is explained very clearly. It might be a bit overpriced but if you bring your student card you will have a 5$ discount.
