Excellent visitor center...well done! Go to the "bridge" and feel like you are going through the canal locks.

Interesting to see the canal up close after a lifetime of hearing about it. We went at night for a group dinner so didn't pay to get it, but it looked worth the $10 admission.

Allow yourself 1-2 hours here to take it al in including the vessels going though the locks here. The video, the museum, the viewing platform with English and Spanish commentary as vessels pass through the locks - take it all in!

Everything about the visit was wonderful. The museum is fascinating, viewing the ships go through the locks very interesting, and the manager does an amazing job running the whole show. We took the subway and bus and got there in no time; no need for a taxi. The public bus drops you off right in front of the place!

The Miraflores Locks Visitor Center has bleacher seating overlooking the locks, with a great view of transiting ships. Entrance fee and refreshments were a bit pricy, and the Visitor Center can get *very* crowded. Worth a visit regardless.

The first time I traveled to Panama City in 2002 and had the chance to go to the Canal I was wondering what everyone thought was so interesting or wonderful about it. When the ships started coming in and the train helped to pull them into the locks I was aww struck. The locks do not look very wide so... More

Lots of activity and a great view of the ships transiting the locks. The higher the better for views.

Great place to get insight into history of the canal and observe boats from above going through the lock.

The visitor is a large and interesting stop along the Canal De Panama! The canal is an engineering marvel and the new canal locks are massive. The existing locks are right there and the view from the visitor center is great. Ships traverse the canal 24/7, up to 40 a day, so you don’t have to wait long for the... More

This was a must see for Panama. It is fascinating how the huge boats are moved through the canal. They have a ten minute movie to view and then you can go through the museum which is also great. They have a simulation of boats going through the canal.
