Great vantage point to see the locks and canal in action. Well worth the visit to get an introduction to the functioning of the waterways

It is great to see the locks and so, plus the 3d movie and the museum. But I don't think it is worth 15$

Well worth the trip to the locks and the price of admission. The size and scope are impressive. Amazing to see such large ships transported through the system.

Enjoyed the short video and musuem. But the $15 entry fee is quite high since there's really not much to it.

If you want to understand the history and function of the Panama Canal, do not miss this small museum. Start on the 4th floor observation deck to see a ship working its way through the locks before working your way down the museum.

Although the canal itself isn't too special, the visitor center tries to tell the story behind it. On 4 floors to be exact. I feel it could be much more informative then it is now, but perhaps there's just not much video/photo material from that time. The view of the canal is nice and the information is ok. The video... I mean, if you're in Panama, it certainly is something to see. The viewing platforms can get quite crowded, so try to cop a spot early and watch the ships pass by. The museum inside is worth a visit. Take your time and read all about the construction of this modern miracle. It's worth it.

We could do the half day transition but really this was a nice experience and we saw how the ships crossed the damns. Informative

I hired a cab for the day and stopped at the locks. Get here early because it gets really crowded with tour buses. The museum is okay, but watching a ship pass through the lock is pretty cool. Watch the 3D info video - very short.

Very informative. You'll see a short film, visit the museum, and watch as the large ships go through the locks. This can only be done by land.
