Miraflores Locks are very interesting to view. Didn't do the formal tour, but I highly recommend viewing from outside the restaurant on the patio. more

once you get there is fabulous, the first 2 stories of the visitor center are great. The first floor has a movie presentation and then some historical stuff like scale models of the trains and that stuff. The second floor has some animals that are found on panamanian rainforest. but the last floors are bad. They talk about "the future"... more

Great facility to see a little movie on the history of the Canal! Wander around and watch the ships make their way through with continous commentaries of events by someone who works there. I would skip the buffet lunch next time and opt for the snack bar on a lower level (4 levels in building). It's OK to be expensive... more

Entrance is about $12 for non-resident adults. Educational (though biased towards the U.S.) musuem, & theater inside. There is also a restaurant if you get hungry, although we did not eat there. Wonderful viewing platforms and bi-lingual "narrarator" to tell you all the details involved in getting ships through the canal. more
