So glad we got to see this part of Panama City. Much of the area was falling apart and vast restoration is being done. The change from Crumbling to Charming is something to see.

Wow, you will see the difference between the renovated part and streets and the ones are not yet. It looks like the city was totally forgotten for hundreds of years and finally now investors are renovating buildings. It is worthy the visit one day and one night. Be careful walking specially in the areas not renovated and touristy. Nice old... More

Walking through the streets of the old city is a must when visiting Panama. They are reminiscent of Spanish cities and are a stark contrast to the towering skyscrapers so characteristic of Panama. There are excellent restaurants and cafes along the major streets. However, some streets are not as safe as one would hope, so have your wits about you... More

It's certainly in much better shape than when I last visited 11 years ago, but I was somewhat disappointed to see the highway which has been constructed in the sea around the old town. Feels a lot safer to walk around now than back in 2003. Worth a look.

This is a good walk in the old part of town with plenty of history. The roads are made of stones and the buildings in the area are beautiful. There are scenic views looking out to the ocean from the walkway. I suggest sight seeing during the day as the evening brings out the less attractive parts of this area.

A few museums, churches, plazas, promenades, superb for photographers and for any who love to savor the historic atmosphere. There's quite a choice of places to sleep and eat, for every budget. Not recommended to stroll solo late at night especially for women.

Old city with all the history and the perfect place to buy your panama hat and really good mojitos. It has the view of the new Panama City.

Seriously impressed with the Old City of PC. Lovely for a couple hours of walking, but it gets darn hot in mid-day. Best solution? Mojitos. I wish I knew the name of where we were but... if you're looking at the church, turn right towards the fish market and find a corner bar with dark wood walls and floor. It... More

its all in the process of being refurbished. The slum is gone and its now quaint to walk around . But a lot of buildings and stores are still being rebuilt.
