The grounds are beautiful, spacious & well manicured. Types of trees are labelled which makes it very educational & interesting. Most of the animals in captivity here were rescued for one reason or another. The jaguar & pumas are beautiful to see. But the highlight is the Harpy Eagle, who greeted us up close & personal & seemed to be... More

Pop and cold drinks available for sale along the route. Yes, there are quite a few animals. One jaguar, but behind wire. Nicely cared for animal. The ocelots are now gone.Birds, especially the Harpy Eagle is there for photography. If you don't handle hot walks, this is not for you. If you cannot find an animal or bird to photograph,... More

The jaguars and the harpy eagle are amazing - although it was hard to spot the... More

Stopped here to kill some time after visiting the canal and so glad I did! What a great little place. The zoo is small but great! The large variety of plants are beautiful.

Enjoyed the grounds and animals. Well labelled in both Spanish and English. Seeing the jaguar and harpy eagle were special treats. Good place for a picnic too.

A little rundown and some of the animal cages are empty, but still a very nice and relaxing park to spend 4 to 6 hours.

good city escape, bring umbrella for sun and rain since it's a rain forest you can get rained on anytime. bring water too. good walk and nice animals to see. next to it is a swim hole called el charco or el chorro. you can walk to it 5-10 minutes, pay a fee.
