It does not matter if you do the Full or the Partial transit of the Panama Canal you still would have to check off #5 from the list of 100 Journeys of a Lifetime by National Geographic. Canal and Bay Tours has been offering both transits for over 12 years and we are committed in assisting you to create a memorable experience. Both transits are an all-day affair with breakfast, lunch, and non-alcoholic refreshments included. Your once in a lifetime experience of transiting the Panama Canal begins with check in at the Playita de Amador and boarding one of our three vessels; Tuira II, Fantasia del Mar, or Isla Morada. Aboard our vessel you be on the Pacific Ocean and will pass under the Bridge of the Americas, through the Mira Flores and Pedro Miguel Locks, beneath the Centenario Bridge, through Culebra Cut, and ending in Gatun Lake which was the largest man-made lake in the world. You will also observe the construction of the second set of locks otherwise known as the Expansion of the Panama Canal.

We did this tour yesterday. There was nothing wrong with the tour in itself. Perfect daytrip we'd definitely recommend. If it wasn't for the pick-up was more than an hour late. We're supposed to be picked up between 5:30 And 6:30 which is not convenient because you already know you have to wait for an hour on the forehand. But... More

Great tour of the canal. Takes you through the Mira Flores Locks. The tour guide is very knowledgeable and the crew is very friendly. Breakfast and lunch are included and are very good. Definitely worth the price.

Canal & Bay Tours let us wait 3 hours longer than expected and after the long wait at Playa de Amador we were conducted to the ship and had 45 minutes more waiting time inside the bus because it was not allowed to go out at the canal grounds. According to the guide, the canal company was responsible for the... More

Canal & Bay Tours was prompt in responding to my reservation requests, well-organized, and we had a very knowledgeable and humorous guide. We did the half transit tour, which included the tour, a light breakfast of fruit and pastries, coffee, coolers full of bottled water and sodas, and a lunch service that went beyond our expectations. There was pasta, different... More

This was just an excellent day from beginning to end. The boat is well laid out to handle lots of people. The commentator was excellent, and could answer any and all questions. It was such a thrill and amazing to see how fast the locks fill up. Educational, scenic, and just great fun.

I took the Partial Canal Transit with Canal & Bay Tours on Saturday May 23, 2015 I decided to wait till I got to Panama before I booked a Canal Transit tour. I asked at the hotel and was told it cost $145.00. I went next door to a travel agent and was told $185.00. Both for a partial transit.... More

I tried numerous times to reach their state-side number over a period of days, to no avail. Desk clerk at hotel in Panama City also had no luck. This got them a mediocre rating. We finally booked thru another agent in P-city, barefood tours. They were great. Thanks, Kev. The tour itself was interesting and well naraated by "Uncle Marti,"... More

Took the 1/2 day transit tour through the canal. The bus was late in the morning but got us to the ferry on time. Riding through the canal was an amazing experience. I suggest this be the most important thing you do on any trip to Panama City. Transit back to the hotel via bus took forever.

Signed up at hotel for convenience factor of getting picked up there, rather than taking taxi to central location, the “shuttle” (van) stopped at a couple of other hotels and picked up a few other people. On the road for about 45 min to the main centralized facility (along the causeway out to the remote islands) to meet up with... More

We enjoyed taking a half-transit of the Panama Canal with this company. Ay $135 dollars, it was a bargain compared to taking a cruise ship through the canal! The trip includes full narration in English and Spanish. The guide spoke clearly and gave us a lots of interesting information which enhanced the trip. Lunch was included and was very satisfying....
