For 10 cents a fish and a little up front, the locals will take you to the best fishing spots, help you anyway you need it, clean the fish and return you to shore. More

12 of us went out from Gamboa resort and had a blast catching 20-30 fish per boat. We had a few fish in the 4 lbs range. 6 lbs for this watershed is a "trophy". Lunch and beer was provided, The tackle was not good and I wished to God that i had brought my own reel! Still, it was... More

Rich and Gaby Cahill who run Panamacanalfishing.com are great people and excellent guides. Rich is knowledgeable in fishing, eco-tourism, and also just a great spokesperson for his home country of Panama. Educated worldwide, he will make your fishing trip into more than just a day's outing. He'll also connect you with anything you need in-country. I can't recommend him highly... More

We booked our fishing excursion with this company and fished for 6 hours on Gatun Lake. Diego and Elliot were our fishing guides. Diego picked us up at our B&B and spoke excellent English. Both were very personable and fun to be with during the day. We caught many Peacock Bass. Diego brought food and drinks for lunch. We saw... More

We really enjoyed fishing in the Chagres river. It was calm and beautiful, but it was pretty cool that the huge vessels heading towards or away from the canal were passing us. We took a little iPod dock and some beers which made the trip even more fun. We caught about 15 fish! It was really nice that when we... More

Great experience on Lake Gatun with Rich Cahill (panamacanalfishing.com). Picked us up in PC and left from Gamboa dock for 5 hours on the lake. Great day hauling in bass, tarpon etc. Highly recommend this company. Lee & Gerry from Canada More

We fished the lake for a morning and had a wonderful time. All items were supplied. We took a side tour to Monkey Island. They came into the boat. We caught about 70 Peacock Bass. It was phenominal cruising on the huge lake with Freighters nearby. More

We went out with Panama Canal Fishing Tours and chose to do an extended tour of the lake down to the Gatun Locks. The fishing was good, the guide very friendly and informative and the Captain took us back to his community on the lake to prepare lunch with plenty of cold cerveza. Perfect! More

Fish in beer batter, tortillas, cabbage and a chipotle sauce.... The fishermen at the public boatramp in Gambo offer a walk-up service and they will take you to the good spots waaaay out in the lake. We go regularly and in the dry season you can pretty much guarantee at least 20 peacock bass (our best day so far was... More
