Last week my wife and I retraced the steps of a trip I made with friends 2 years ago. This time Rich, the owner, took us on a wonderful and humorous tour of Panama City. The next day, Carlos whisked us off by boat to see lots of different monkeys and birds in the jungle adjoining the Panama Canal, which... More

Peacock Peacock Peacock awesome fishing and heck of great time with Rich and his crew of guides. My buddy Don and I found this guide and they were fantastic. Very reasonable pricing and unlimited fun which you cant put a price tag on! We will definitely keep this location on our annual fishing adventures list. Finally the Peacock bass are... More

Abellardo picked us up right on time at our hotel, and 40 minutes later, the Captain pushed us off from the dock and up the Canal we went to Lake Gatun, Fished with small live minnows and small hooks for what turned out to be plentiful but not overly large peacock bass....they are beautiful and fight hard...a fight similar to... I got picked up at my hotel by both Rich (the owner) and Daniel (the fishing guide), both Americans and then we headed off to the canal's sport marina. After meeting Chimbe (boat captain) and getting loaded up on the boat, we took off seeing the sights and then after about 20-30 minutes we started fishing. Peacock Bass are pretty... More

We took a full day trip with Panama Canal Fishing tours. We spent the morning fishing and the afternoon at the Miraflores Locks. Our guide Randy was very personable and knowledgeable about the culture, area, and fly fishing. Fishing on Lake Gatun was beautiful and we caught some peacock bass, one over three pounds. They were very accommodating and we... More

Three of us had a fantastic time travelling to Cheppo, launched from there, travelling upstream with the tide and fishing as we went. The guides were fantastic and we hooked and fought lots of fish. It was a trip into such a beautiful natural place and was a really special day on the water. Highly recommend this trip for fishermen... More

Wow, where do I start. Let’s begin with the fishing. Unbelievable!!! They knew where the fish were as the hits began after the first few casts. Captain was prepared with live bait as well as very productive lures. His red and white popper was definitely the BEST!!!! They were reactive to any slowdown on the frequency of hits, constantly moving... More

Had a fun day fishing with our guide, Roberto and Captain, Elio. Very thrilling being on the Canal with huge ships. Scenery and wildlife were great. Caught plenty of peacock bass which were cooked for our lunch. Unfortunately the boat we were expecting was not available so we ended up on a small 18 foot or so skiff Not much... More

My family and I had a wonderful experience fishing and exploring the region around the Panama Canal and Lake Gatun. My 15 year old son, 13 year old daughter and my wife loved it. Rich was a fantastic guide and we could have easily spent another day out on the water but unfortunately we did not have the time. I've... More

We spent the day with Thomas and Ninio on the canal and Gatun Lake. Everything was as promised. We were picked up on time, got fish on all day. Biggest one was about a 3.5 lb Peacock Bass. We easily averaged around 4-5 fish per hour having our hot and not so hot moments. A nice bonus was the 3... More
