The San Blas Islands are fantastic! Remote and isolated, days can be spent swimming in warm water, playing in the surf, tanning in a hammock, and exploring one of the islands and their white coral sand beaches. The Kuna Yala people are fantastic. Found one small island with a bar and another where a fellow named Prada sells molas, nutchas... More

These Caribbean islands belonging to the Guna Yala people are beautiful and worth the trouble to visit. The trip by four wheel drive from Panama City is horrendous. The road is poor and the trip will probably make you car sick.Once you get to Carti, you have to take a boat to your island. Hope that the sea is calm... More

Imagine the most beautiful travel brochure cover. White sand beach, tiny island, just a few palm trees, a hammock and a grass hut. Now imagine being dropped off on the island via boat and you are left there alone for the morning. Absolute paradise. Boat returned at noon to take us to a restaurant on another island nearby that served... More

the islands are beautiful! But get ready to not have bathroom, not a good night's sleep (if you stay in the huts of the Indians) and only eat fish at lunch and at dinner. Be prepared to have zero comfort. Not advisable to take NOT adventurous people

We have been many times to the San Blas islands during the past years and this time we wanted a different experience and sail for an affordable price for 3 days in this beautiful archipelago. Being aware of the "pirates" selling some tours in the archipelago and have been told many bad stories about sailing trip from San Blas to... More

This is the BEST part of Panama. It is everything that adventure traveler's look for, remote, authentic, pristine, low key, etc. The islands and people are beautiful. Don't expect anything high-end, that is not how they roll! Go to the sunken island, see starfish, eat the best fried fish you will ever have!

A couple of buddies and I recently completed a 4 day trip aboard the Swala, sailing the San Blas Islands with Captain Bernard and his crew. What a fantastic experience! The islands are beautiful, with white sand, palm trees, and gentle warm breezes - the quintessential tropical paradise. They are part of a region of Panama that is run as... More

I went twice to one of the islands called "tubasinica", one time for a day trip and the other one to stay the night. It is a really nice island, more virgin, but there are another islands that are more touristic and are much more crowded depending on the dates you visit. The thing is that although this archipelago is... More

San Blas is an amazing place to spend a day or more days! Is Caribbean sea, so you will be delighted by the white sand and turquoise water. San Blas is located in Panama but is a private territory for the Panamanian Indians, they are very friendly. They have their own government, their language and their culture. To arrive to... More

If you are willing to experience something new and different then this is a must. You do not have any internet connection and you are really cut off from the world during the time of your stay there. The only way to get there is by plane from Panama. City and then with a small boat to the Island. Excellent... More
