I was set up with Viva Spanish School for three weeks of language immersion. I had a year of Spanish in high school and a year early in college but was essentially a beginner as I hadn't used the language for about 10 years. The teachers and the management were very flexible at allowing me to learn at the pace... More

Great atmosphere to learn spanish without pressure. The one on one classes are an excellent tool for any level of learner. I participated in a homestay with a local family the school arranged which was nice and another opportunity to learn the language in real-time. I recommend the school to anyone.

This is the way to learn.......well anything. The amazing attention, one on one classes are great. Everybody is so friendly it feels like home. The staff was very friendly. Free internet access. I went on a field day, which made me experience the culture, nature's beauty and of course most important learning the Spanish language in the meantime. I recommend... More

Really enjoyed my time here learning Spanish. The classes were perfectly adapted to my level and my preferences. The school has a really nice atmosphere and feels like a home in the "dangerous" or may be I should say unknown Managua. I did a homestay and could really recommend that. This really added something to my experience of Nicaragua. Thanks... More

The Viva Spanish School is a great option. I started with Skype classes for a couple weeks. I went to Nicaragua for full 4-weeks of immersion. I worked with seven of the instructors. While they have course books, each instructor has a different approach and emphasis. There are several classrooms and the school is geared toward personal attention. The school... More

I came here with my school from North America in the spring. The teachers were very friendly and customized our Spanish lessons with medical terms and other terms that were necessary. The teachers made the experience one of a kind through their humor and friendliness. The environment was a good learning environment with air conditioned rooms! I would highly recommend... More

Had a great experience taking private classes here. I had learned quite a lot in the past just from traveling to different spanish-speaking countries, but had never taken a class before. As a result, I didn't fit the standard progression - in some ways I was too advanced for beginner and too beginner for advanced. They did a fantastic job... More
