I love to watch the passing weather patterns, the boats on the lake and the tasty snacks at the restaurants on the rim of this fascinating water filled volcano.

Spent time at a very humble hotel on the lake shore. Good food & cheap drink. Room wasn't the cleanest & shower was sketchy, but a fun break

I visit lake Coatepeque frequently with tourist visiting El Salvador. Many times I just stop and look from one of the many lookouts and some times I go down to the lake shore and have lunch at one of the restaurants that have dock over hanging the water. It is always one of my favorite stops as the colors always...

Gorgeous spot - El Salvador's answer to cottage country. Great litte open air bars / resturants overlooking a volcanoe lake.

If you go, try to rent a jet ski, boat or any...
