I am trying my hand at amateur photography and this site proved wonderful for the same. It is a good journey to the top, but it was very sunny and we could barely see the base of the crater. The museo gave us good information about the crater. It was a short and sweet time there. However, I think a... More

This was my first experience (visit a volcanic crater) and I thoroughly enjoyed the place. The place will make you feel that you are so much closer to the nature. The way towards the caldera is beautiful and steep. Still you would love the trekking towards it. In short it's a place worth the visit.

It was interesting to be able to look down into the volcanic crater and to see birds flying below you. The walk up could be a bit strenuous for those unused to climbing any distance. The visitors' center near the parking lot does not have a lot to offer.

Walked up to the Volcano Top. Loved the Flowers and Plants. Bring a camera to lots of pictures and good walking shoes. Steps are made out of logs, so terrain is a bit uneven but not terrible. Would have been nice to go down to the center but you need some to go down with you with equipment.

I'm glad they have preserved the area. You can get a good hike to see the Volcanoe and learn about nature. You need a private transport though to get to the place, and a good walking shoes. You can also get a good glimpse of the city from the road going up.

We enjoyed a day trip with our guide, Edwin Carillo. Lovely forest, coffee growing areas and scenery.

Great view and quick drive up to the volcano. Many nice restaurants to stop by on the way up or down.

We drove high up and with a clear day got a great view. The crater itself is sort of interesting. The information center is weak. Salvadorian tourism is in its infancy.

I saw this place on google earth and was intrigued that I could see to the bottom of this crater. I visited to see the size of it and was not disappointed. The ride up the mountain is enjoyable and you can feel the temperature drop to a comfortable level. You can enjoy many amazing views of the city below... More
