This is an light filled oasis in the middle of an ugly capital city. Very very different to most Catholic churches in the country. Contemporary and gorgeous.

Very moving. Very beautiful. Take a guide or read up on it first, there is so much thought, meaning, and history in place.

Im not the person that visits churches, but I had read in tripadvisor about this place, and I thought I really needed to come here and have a little of the magical ambiance that you can feel here...I loved it, would definitely come back if I return to El Salvdaor.

Most unique church that I've ever been to - the inside/outside juxtaposition is a metaphor for the entire country.

I was kind of hesitant to go inside, since the outside was not very... attracting. But once I went in, WOW! it is beautiful. I sat there for a few minutes and took it all in. This church has history. During the massacre they had during the civil war, this is one of the places people ran into to hide.

El Rosario can be seen in many ways. On the outside it is rather ugly, all concrete and unpromising. Once you step inside, though, you are in a grotto of rainbows and the effect is serene and beautiful. The stations of the cross are compelling, even for a non-Catholic, and worth time standing in contemplation of each. To go to... More

I visited the church in May 2014. When the guide took me here I was unsure as to what I was looking at. It looks like an abandoned building from the outside. But inside I was greated to one of the most beautiful churches I've ever seen! The light coming through the stained glass is like a rainbow. Really stunning... More

Doesn't look appealing from the outside, but absolutely gorgeous on the inside. It's said that it was built for the eyes of God, not for the eyes of man. The stained glass is beautiful, with different parts illuminated at different times of day according to the positioning of the sun. Awesome stations of the cross too.

Photos do not do it justice. The stained glass windows are rally cool. The walls are neat how they are angled to give a natural breeze inside the church. Go with a group and watch your back. It's in a dangerous part of town for tourist. The whole area was quite interesting. The back of the church is next to... More

Like the easy access ,did not like the surrounds sidewalks around the church litter and not pedestrian friendly, need to be carefully crosswind the streets .
