this was the number 1 thing I wanted to do when visiting Kyiv. Note to anyone booking through a third party: bring your passport - it is required and an EU ID is not accepted. Luckily i had enough time to go back to my hotel to get this. The bus trip to Chernobyl is interesting as they show video... More

If ever you go to Kiev you must take this day trip to Chernobyl.Pick up in Maidan Square Kiev 08.15 hrs. We collected our guide at one of the exclusion zone checkpoints. A very good lunch was provided in Chernobyl town, (all the food is imported into the zone). Lunch must be taken before or after the visit to the... More

It is amazing experience to stand 200m next to the fourth reactor of former nuclear power plant. Wandering on the streets of the ghost city Pripyat with dosimeter is breathtaking. SoloEast service is perfect, we had many questions before we came to Ukraine, they always answered in less that one hour. Their discounts system was able to save us 200$.

The administration was good from the start, easy to book and a central pick up point in the city. Good mix of people on the tour which had two guides. The information started from the time we left the pick up point with a documentary on the coach TV screen which gave us a good insight into the whole incident.... More

You learn a lot. They show comprehensive videos about the accident in the van on the way there. It's a nice two hour trip there, and you see the outer rim, abandoned buildings that have been ore-arranged with acticles for great photos, the Russian Woodpecker, the inner circle and a lot of broken glass. Lunch is really big; you can... More

For anyone who has an interest in the Chernobyl disaster and the long-last effects, this is the perfect trip for you. The trip picks up from Independence Sq at just after 8 and gets back around 6 giving you a full day of sightseeing. Chernobyl is around 2/2.5 hours from Kiev so there is a reasonable amount of travelling involved.... More

Amazing trip. It is quite expensive to go, but worth it. You'll get to see all the interesting stuff like the powerplant and the city (pripyat) nearby. The tour guide gave a lot of interesting information.

This might be one of the most interesting tours I have ever taken. I did not realize how close the world came to a major catastrophe. My guide was outstanding since he had lived in the area before the disaster. We were able to see what was left when thousands of people had two hours to get ready to leave.... More

This was a fantastic tour and I loved our guide Mischa. Chernobyl was a fascinating place and it was very sobering hearing about the accident and the people who lost their lives preventing further explosions. On the way we watched an interesting video all about the disaster. The journey passed very easily. We were able to explore a kindergarten, pool,... More

I recently visited Chernobyl with Solo East and I must say I had an absolute blast there(no pun intended). The trip was well organised, the transport was prompt, comfortable and the guides (although arranged by the Ukranian government and not the company themselves) were extremely helpful and interesting. The trip began at 8:15 in the morning with a 2 hour... More
