This is an amazing place! Don't miss the opportunity to attend an orthodox mass here. It doesn't matter at all if you don't understand a word, The liturgy is wonderful and deeply moving!

This cathedral and surrounding grounds are spectacular. The catacombs were closed on the rainy day I went to the Cathedral but it was still a great visit.

St Volodymyr's is yet another stunning basilica - bright yellow with blue cupolas with white stars. Inside it is gorgeous.

5 mins walk from opera or park shevchenko lies this beautiful orthodox church with the typical soft pastel colors yellow and blue and richly decorated interior. But if you have little time the churches in Lavra and Sofinska sq and s. Andrey are far more interisting

Kiev has many wonderful churches and this one is well worth seeing. So much orthodox history. It is worth taking in a service.

I was fortunate to attend a service in this beautiful church decorated by a whole team of Russian painters in the Art Nouveau style. A wonderful place to visit and very moving.

St Volodymyr's Cathedral is one of my favourite churches in Kiev. First- it is situated very close to botanical garden where I like to have a walk, second - it is Ukrainian Orthodox church that belongs to Kiev Patriarchy, third - it is named after Saint Vladimir who baptized all Ukrainans into Orthodox religion in the Dnieper river, forth -... The Cathedral is on the main boulevard and very close to the University Metro Station. It is a striking yellow on the outside and just as striking inside. When we arrived a service was in progress and it was restful listening to it. The Cathedral is noted for its decorations and we were told that during the Soviet era it... More

St Volodymyr's Cathedral is quite stunning. The architecture is truly amazing as is the eye-catching yellow exterior. The inside is what you would expect with plenty of beautiful murals and paintings of Saints. Well worth the visit and easy to get to.
