This church is stunning, both inside and out. We were there on a very busy Saturday morning and this is one of the few churches we visited that was actually being used as a church and there was a lot of activity going on. We were also treated to hearing the bells being rung which was wonderful.

Amazing paintings inside.I watched a traditional wedding when I visited .The ringing of the bells is also nice to hear if you time it right. It is a little bit of a walk away from the centre but easy to find with a map.

Very beautiful temple which survived in the era of communism. St. Vladimir's Cathedral was one of the few active temples in the city in the period of Communist ideology. Cathedral of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyiv Patriarchate is not only one of the most majestic temples in the world, built in the XIX century, but also a monument to the outstanding... More

When I visited the cathedral there was a wedding in progress so I decided to come back again to take photos of the interior another day. There is a charge of 50 grivnas (about $2) for this. There is no charge for admission. The interior art work is beautiful. There are also the bodies of two saints preserved in the... More

I walked from the main square to this Cathedral. About 4 blocks north of the main street. Very beautiful inside and out. Small fee for photography inside.

The main cathedral in Kyiv under Kyivan patriarchy - huge, impressive, in Byzantine style, decorated in the 19th century with paintings by Vasnetsov, Nesterov, Vrubel and other prominent painters.

This was our favorite Cathedral in Kiev because it didn't feel "touristy" like the others. It's a little further from the city center, but we walked all the way just for fun. Be sure to walk by the University Botanical Gardens across the street since you will be nearby.

The most beautiful cathedral in Kiev. It is so harmonious - exterior, bright yellow walls, and interior, bright rich patterns, frescos, mosaic. Really impressive. You can visit it free of charge. But if you want to take some pictures (I am sure everyone wants) you have to pay.

Being in Kyiv city center spend half an hour to visit St.Volodymer's Cathedral. It locates quite nice, looks very attractive and you'll have a possibility to make nice pictures for memories. It's one of the oldest churches in the city and one of the beautifl ones.
