Saint Vladimir Cathedral is one of the most beautiful temples in Kiev. It was built in the 19th century. It is definitely worth to go inside as well.

If you are church history or architecture buff, then obviously you will want to visit during the day. Their internal high ceiling paintings are all faded and with poor lighting it is hard to see. The church's exterior blue dome with gold stars make a great sight from a distance. On a random evening, it was surreal experiencing the prayer... More

Lovely interior of the church & blissful energy inside. We had chance to attend Sunday morning praying ceremony - chorus was divine. And feeling afterwards I can describe as "having winds open behind back"

Amazing and stunning piece of history. Well preserved and majectic in its design. Best seen during a tour like I did to get all the explanations about its origin, its purpose etc.

Yes this place i might be interesting but not because of its religious status. Modern building of the church is nothing do do with a history, it is new building. But a story of old building which was destroyed during 2-nd world war is very simple. This territory was private property of famous Ukrainian family Tereshchenko. And Patriarch of the... More

This is the most beautiful of the major cathedrals in Kiev. Went there coincidental for an orthodox evening service with choirs, was impressive.

This is nice orthodox church at downtown Kiev, Taras Shevchenko blvd. During Saturday mess, you can enjoy melodic bells.

If you have time walking around Kiev, this Church is worth a visit! It is about 7 minutes walk from the Opera house. This Church is very popular with the locals and you can observe how they worship from lighting the candles to kissing the icons.
