Go inside, you will enjoy the interiors! The church was made by Rastrelly - the architect who build the most of the Saint Petersburg outstanding palaces. It will not take long to visit the church, but it worth it. Try to buy the ticket for life music concert, which they have here sometimes

Great travel tours around. St Andrews Church not far from central business district. Seek English speaking tour operators for sight seeing.

St. Andrew's Church in Kiev's oldest surviving district (Andrew's Descent) is like most Orthodox Churches in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova....stunning. Interior is often used for classical music concerts, but outside the church you can get a wonderful view of the Dniepr River and the East Bank of Kiev. The area surrounding the church is home to many artisans and... More

St Andrews church is up some steps. It is truly amazing and well worth a visit. You can go inside and have a look around. St Andrews descent is full of souvenir stalls.

And there are often services, with impressive singers. Just four singers give you the impression of a whole choir.

The blue and white building with its 5 domes stands out on Andrew's Descent down to the Podil area. The iconostasis wall is a lovely orange with gold frames around the paintings. The inside dome is covered with gold trim around its paintings. Don't miss it if you go to Ukraine.

Really like it. It is on the hill. It can be seen from different places. When you climb there, you can see amazing views of the city. Also there is a very nice street next to it, where artists sell their works. ALso you can find souvenirs there

Work by Rastrelli, who's also worked on the renown Winter Palace & Catherine Palace in Russia. Resemblance in style can be found. Small but majestic with the bright turquoise-green & eyes blinding gold. Worth a quick drop by for pictures on your way to browse for souvenirs on the nearby streets.

Close to many other sights, lovely church and geat surroundings. Not too many tourists at this time of year, so easy to get great photos and enjoy the sights without being swamped by tourists.
