A short walk from St Michael's - St Andrew's seems a bit tucked away & neglected - but it is a beautiful basilica & inside it is also stunning. Sadly you can't walk around the outside to take advantage of the views over the Dnieper as subsidence has meant the platform it is built on is cordoned off

Saint Andrew is from an architectural prospective the most beautiful church in kiev. Ligh blue pastel and green are esquisitely blended. The interior are more modest but still worth visiting

It's a not very large church, with what I think was fairly typical ornamentation. Worth a look if you're in the neighborhood, but maybe not going especially.

This church is located right at the Andriyivski Uzviz, a tiny souvenir street on the hill. In order to get there, there will be a little challenge: walking on steps through many people, who make pictures of themselves and others on the background of the church. Because this church is a working one and it is not a museum as... More

This is a small but gorgeous church, steeped in history and with amazing views. Don't plan on more than 45 minutes or so, but it will be time well spent, and then take a stroll down the descent road to old Podil...

This church reminds me of St Petersburg, the colours the lines. It has been recently renovated so looks very fresh. The location is great. At the top of the hill by the church are many street vendors and they continue down the hill in single file. Make sure you walk to the bottom and then turn to the right at... More

Walking up or down the steep cobblestone street, St. Andrews stands prominent and shining about mid hill on an overlook with all of Kiev below her. What an inspiring sight. Photos don't capture its beauty. Don't miss it!

Small church located near Podil district is one of the Kyiv symbols. The Church inside with its beautiful iconostasis is not often available for visiting due to restoration works, but you can always enjoy the outside view.
