You cannot see much due to the accessibility issue. I saw it from outside the gates on the street. While trying to find the Chimera House, I asked locals for guidance and they were actually surprised that I made the effort to visit because they thought it was dull and boring. If you end up taking the trouble to visit... More

This year the Gorodetskiy House has been re-opened to visitors with new rules introduced: free tours are available now. There are 4 to 6 of such free tours each week-end. You need to arrange a private tour of this house as it is in a restricted government area. The house itself is fascinating as is the story behind it. It truly must be seen to be believed!

Very unusual building. It will be interesting to see with children and tell them a story about it. I was not inside but from outside it is cool

Every little detail of it is an explosion of creativity. We were lucky to visit the interior, which is not that easy since you have to reserve months in advance and it was well worth doing it. Since it is a part of the official presidential reception rooms, the space open for visitors is very limited so are the time slots... More

The house is closed off with guards on the bottom so you can't see much, but worthy of checking out if your in the area.

One of the most extraordinary houses you will ever see. You can't look around it or even get that close but I'm not sure I would want to! Hard to imagine what drove a man to build such a house when you remember what else was going on in the country at the same time. It is worth a look... More

This House is well-known by its unusual architecture. The building is decorated with freakish sculptures, such as maidens on fantastic fishes, elephants, rhinoceroses, antelopes, frogs, lizards, eagles, snakes, crocodile. Because of its location (near the President of Ukraine's office at Bankova Street), the building has been used as a presidential residence for official and diplomatic ceremonies since 2005. Must see... More
