This building is definitely worth visiting! The fantastical gargoyles, animals and other ornamentation on the outside are incredible on their own, but if you are lucky enough to get a tour of the inside of the building, you will be truly amazed at the imagination this architect had- simply phenomenal!

Stayed in a hotel only 5 minutes walk away so decided to pop along and have a look for myself. What an amazing and beautiful building, adorned with all manner of animals and set in a beautiful street too. A must see!

A totally bizarre, utterly bonkers building - a Marmite construction that is so profoundly ugly that it is bewilderingly beautiful to my eyes. You will either love it or hate it. But it is certainly original, and, once seen, never forgotten.

I was really excited about this place and it was a bit of let down for me. Sculpters are really good and interesting thats for sure but there is nothing else to see it took like 5 minutes to check everthing and leave the place because you cannot enter inside. However, its really close the center of the city and... More

Bring binoculars if you want to see the chimeras well but be informed that it's a presidential residence now. If you spot a crocodile-that means you will have a stroke of good luck soon.

House is interesting, but not as amazing as it is made out to be. A little more differnt than the usual solid staid buidlings around kiev, so attractive if only for its unusual decorations. Easy access from independant square, a quick wander up towards a leafy square park, and the house is nearby.

Gothic architecture at it's literal best. The house is situated on top of a hill and is covered in weird and wonderful animals and figures, including gargoyles and crazy-looking toads. If you don't see this whilst in Kiev you're really missing out!

This house warrants a detour off one's walking route around Kiev since it is just a few blocks off Khreschatyk Street and in a lovely area with beautiful up-scale shopping opportunities. It warrants a few minutes of just observing all of the very interesting architectural features of the house. One can't get into the house, but just viewing the outside... More

The house is covered in gargoyles, frogs, elephants and other scary monsters. Well worth visiting - by day or eerie night lights!

You must see this mansion covered with concrete animals, real and imagined. A concrete entrepreneur wanted to show what could be done with concrete and did he ever. You might just spend 15 minutes there or much longer if you try to identify all the creatures. The house, which is now used for government functions is not accessible. Look at... More
