If you want a break from classical churches and historical sites (and have an interest in art), the Pinchuk Art Centre is a great museum in the center of the city with a rotating display by contemporary artists. (And it's free.) On view was a fascinating and thought-provoking exhibition by sculptor Anish Kapoor, whose work ranges from Joseph Beuys-like accumulations... More

Nice place in the center of Kiev. Pinchuk Art center presents the Contemporary art. The display of center changes often. Interesting works of the Belgian artist Jan Fabr about a colonialism in Africa in Congo. Pictures are done from unusual material - beetles of burncows. A basic idea of many pictures of gallery is a fight against AIDS. Modern design,... More

Situated in the very heart of the capital - on Bessarabkaya square next the Khreshchatyk Street - Pinchuk Art Center is indeed worth a visit every time a new exhibition is in place. Having almost unlimited budgets and a great love for arts, Mr. Pinchuk and his curators always have something interesting & eye-opening in store for the visitors of... More

Location excellent! Some of the exhibits are VERY good. And they have an awesome restaurant on the Top floor .... the barman makes incredible cocktails & surprise, surprise, the food was really good .... even though it's vegetarian ... go figure!

First of all: the position on the map is wrong, its not on Vasilkyvska str. Its on Bessarabska square just near Bessarabsky rynok and Kreshatik str. Well, about the place, If you have nothing common with modern art - it will be weird. Very weird. Quintessention of nonsence. But at least the enter if free and this place have realy... More

Was dragged here by my better half. Had a Chinese art exhibition on at the time, and was ok and quite informative. Entry is free as well. Quite a small museum, although it is moderately easy to get to. There is a cafe at the top - although considering it is owned by an (admittedly philanthropic) oligarch, it was not... More

Very nice art gallery. In the very center of the city. The entrance is free. Too much security that gives you the impression to be more in National Bank then in Art Gallery. It maybe not in the top ten things to see in Kiev but I would definitely recommend you to visit it if you were caught by rain... More

as of today (17 Nov 2013) the tripadvisor map shows this on "Vasiylvskaya" while the museum is on "Velka Vasiylvskaya" right in the centre and not five stop out of town as the map shows. Otherwise just go - nothing else like it in Kiev.

The gallery in front of the food market , the epicenter of violent trade. At the entrance you are greeted by a hefty security guards inspect bags and passed through a metal detector . Fee, however, for input are not taken. Narrow stairs , low ceilings in many rooms ... The feeling that the room is " turned up on... More

I dragged there a group of friends and all liked the trip. It only takes max 2 hours to wander around the museum, it's worth the trip. I especially liked the entrance with a broken statue ...The cafe -bar upstairs is very nice with welcoming, nice barmen.
