Khreschatyk St. located at center of the city of Kiev is a popular street where nightlife and other activities happen. The historic independence square is located in this area at Maidan St. People grows thick here starting in the afternoon. It is nice to walk along this street and go find some good place to spend some time.

If there is only one thing you do in Kiev, then taking a walk down the main street is a must. Nice during the day. Beautiful at night. I couldnt figure it out, but some nights they didnt have the lights on which was annoying. Lots of great shopping, especially in the underground markets.

Lovely Street, must go through once you are in Kiev. You can experience life music, some show. Just avoid those guys walking with white pigeon who some time quite aggressive and forces you to hold them on hand free of cost. But later they ask you money!

Walk down this street if you do nothing else here in Kiev. it is the heart of the city and it seems the spiritual heart of Ukraine. The top part of the road is pedestrianised so you won't have to worry about cars. The monuments are beautiful and very photogenic. There are two underground shopping malls full of designer shops... It's just a street, but on week ends they stop the traffic, and you can enjoy different actions, events, etc. Usually you cannot predict what you experience every next time.
