You can see Maidan monument over here and this was where the crisis of Feb 2014 occurred...very bloody(( Beautiful girls are everywhere here; I manage to meet someone who was very nice here. This is one of my favorite places to go to in Kyiv, but I would recommend going on the weekend. During the weekend and some holidays they shut down the street to car traffic so you walk down the street (easier if you spot something across the street and the foot traffic eases a bit.) Be warned that outside of... More

I've spent hours here every day I am in Kiev. You can buy coffee and snacks up and down the street in little huts to keep you going while you figure out what you want next. Plenty of ATMs to get money from so you can buy more souvenirs. Buy stuff up at street level or down in the Metro... More

Khreshchatyk Street is the heart of Kiev. It is a long and wide street that connects some other important parts of the city. You can walk along the street from the Independence Square up to Arena city. You can find many different restaurants and cafes on the street. You can walk to historical parts of the city, on the other... More

To see and be seen on the weekend, this is the place to go in Kiev. The street is closed to traffic on the weekend and hundreds of people stroll peacefully and socialize. Very European feel even with the McDonalds by the Metro station near the center.

The most famous of all streets in Kiev. Crosses Maidan square. An avenue in the middle with 3 lanes on each site, underground crossing and plentiful pedestrian walkway. Here you will find a few restaurants (admittedly not the best) many shops, a metro, small shopping center, night clubs, kiosks selling all kinds of stuff, from coffee to ice cream to... More

Great sites, Great Restaurant's. Great shopping. Must see Independence Square where the people of Ukraine stood up to the Government of Ukraine and over a hundred people were murdered by people supporting the last President who ended up fleeing to Russia.
