I found the Gardoš Tower (or Sibinjanin Janko Tower) a beautifull sight. You get to see all of Belgrade along with Danube & Sava rivers and of course Zemun. I also found very interesting the fact that people when visit, write on the bricks of the tower their name and the year they've visited the tower. I found names from... More

Climbed up there in the evening (200 Dinar/2 Euro) and watched the setting sun dyed the danube river red and purple. Unbeatable view.

Found the Tower of Sibinjanin Janko by accident, walk along the river you will come to a stair case up the hill. It's build on an at the top of the hill on an old Roman fort with only a few of the walls remaining. The view of the river and of Zemun is great. The path leading down into... More

A bit out of the way, across the river from Belgrade. But there are many restaurants close by lining the banks of the Danube. The tower itself is OK, but unless you are making the effort to eat at one of the many excellent nearby restaurants, it is probably not worth the effort just for the view.

The tower was locked when I was there yesterday:( But the view from the top of the hill was amazing. You will see the whole Zemun area and further to Novi Beograd. The area is also very nice with small cozy streets full of history

For the price of about 2 EUR you get a lovely scenic view on the whole Belgrade. There is no restaurant at the top, just a terrace. On bricks are visible carved-in names and dates of visitors over 100 years old!

this place is a fairytale maerial, what an odd mix of style, it was tricky to climb but the view was great and history behind it is cool. Sibinjanin Janko is a historical person, Janosh Hunyadi.

There is a good view back over towards Belgrade from here, and a pleasant cafe with outdoor seating nearby. It is quite a stiff climb up from the main street, and not well posted. It is worth the effort. There is also an interesting Church nearby, and it is possible to attend a funeral if one is ongoing (interesting to... More

This little tower is located on a cliff, in and above the suburb of Zemun. The best part of it, in my view, is the back yard, from which you get a spectacular view of the Denobe river and the tiny streets and red roof houses of this vicinity. I took some wonderful pictures.. If you have the time (I... More

The highest point of the town of Zemun, before a fishermens village, currently part of the city of Belgrade. You get some really spectacular views over the town and the river. Beware, there is no elevator and the stairs are quite steep. Admission fee of 2 euro.
