One of the main traffic hubs in Belgrade city centre. A gathering place for locals and foreigners. It's popularily known as Kod konja as there is a statue of a prince riding a horse. It's the starting point of many walks which lead through Knez Mihajlova street, Kalemegdan Park and Belgrade Fortress. There's also the Serbian National Museum and Belgrade... More

Republic Square is the most central location in Belgrade and there is a lot do here. During my visit to the square, there was an interesting art display of large sculptures made of war weapons that looked similar to a Transformer. It was a very unique display. Nearby the square are tons of shops and places to dine or grab... More

When the main building work is finished Trg Republike will retored to a former glory. Its a busy area of the city and can be loud with traffic. Recommend the Gyros place. Great late night eatery and serves beer!

Meet me at Horse ! basically, that's how Beogradians will meet you at the first time because they all do that. it's the place to meet and it's funny to see them hugging so often.

This is a large square that is practically the heart of Belgrade. Many important buildings are in the surrounding area including the national museum.

You will not be able to avoid Trg Republike while visiting Beograd, nor should you want to. The statue is great and the history it commemorates is important; however, it is not really a destination in and of itself. Rather, it is an important and recognizable meeting point as well as a landmark used in giving/getting directions to nearby places.... More

Republic Square is one of the central town squares and an urban neighborhood of Belgrade, located in the Stari Grad municipality. It is the site of some of Belgrade's most recognizable public buildings, including the National Museum (no closed for renovation), the National Theatre and the statue of Prince Michael. The square is located less than 100 meters away from Terazije,... Very central, easy to reach and close to major landmarks. You can start any tour from here to explore Belgrade. Take a good look on the king in the horse. Something is missing from the statue ;)
