After renewing, it's really a decent zoo if you have extra time in Belgrade. There's also a baby zoo inside, with some domestic animals walking around, asking for food. ticket is 3-4 EUR, depending on visitor's age.

Seems like positive reviews are all from Eastern Europeans, maybe these kind of zoos are normal over there, but if you're used to the Uk/Western Europe you will be appalled by some of the cages. The two panthers for example are in a tiny box barely longer than themselves and no higher; they look suicidal. The wolves and similar have... More

Belgrade zoo is placed in the center of the city on the Kalemegdan fortress. It is very nice place where you will feel like you entered in the Jungle Book :) I really recommend this place and the entrance fee is affordable.

Interesting place and an excellent way to spend the day, especially birthday (secret discount on that day). I'm glad that they are renovating different sections year after year to give animals better living conditions.

Dear tourists who visit Serbia, I have to recommend this beautiful place to you. To be honest there are bigger and more famous zoos in the world, but this place is not about getting others' attention by showing off with everything it offers. What you can get there, is not what you usually see in commercials. This is really wonderful... More

Visited with friends whilst travelling and I left in tears. Animals with wounds and underweight. Concrete, small cages with no vegetation. Wolves fighting over food. Most horrific zoo I have ever been to. Felt upset that I paid money to see so many animals suffering.

You can see a lot of animals that you can't in avarage zoo. Zoo is a big one, you can spend all day in nice walk. Some cages are to small, but it seems they gonna change that by time.

You can find the Belgrade Zoo, or the Good Hope Garden, stands on one of the most attractive city location, Kalemegdan park, exactly in the Fortress. It is one of the oldest homes of animal kingdom in Europe. Interesting is that beside wild animals it abounds in domestic animals too. Its present beautiful look is contributed by many built facilities,... More
