I find it hard to believe that a zoo in the 21st century would not be aware of the fact that elephants are herd animals and suffer terribly on their own. Elephants are tacticle animals who love to cuddly up to each other and inter-twine... More

Belgrade Zoo is one of the most beautiful I've been in the Balkans. Located in the city center. Great, there are many animals and looks like a jungle. Because it is very forested. The card costs 400 dinars. Each street has a name.

Worst Zoo in the world. Tigers, lions, wolves, bears, foxes, horses, etc are all kept in TINY CEMENT CELLS. They never felt grass under their paws/hooves. This is pure torture and is highly unethical. If you love animals DO NOT GO THERE as most of them are kept in horrid conditions. I wish they would just close that prison down.... More

You must have time to go in Belgrade Zoo. There you can find lots of animals, and have fun with them. You can see goat and chicken free in the Zoo, and you can take picture with them. For weekends they plan lots of activities for little kids like playing with clowns, taking picture with animals, drawing on their faces.... More

This zoo is very much old-school. The animals are kept in small metal cages similar to how American zoos operated back in the 1950s. What is amazing is the white kangaroos, which I've never seen.

Belgrade Zoo was founded in 1936 and is one of the oldest in Europe. It is interesting and exotic place in Belgrade. I have to commend maintenance because everything is clean, tidy, workers are willing and although they have a lot of work, are working at full steam, cleaning and feeding the animals. Belgrade Zoo has a long list of... More

Bears, tigers, lions, elephant ; they've got it all, for a cheap price! But it feels like this place was abandoned. Don't go.
