Belgrade Zoo was founded in 1936 and is one of the oldest in Europe. It is interesting and exotic place in Belgrade. I have to commend maintenance because everything is clean, tidy, workers are willing and although they have a lot of work, are working at full steam, cleaning and feeding the animals. Belgrade Zoo has a long list of... More

Bears, tigers, lions, elephant ; they've got it all, for a cheap price! But it feels like this place was abandoned. Don't go.

Visiting Belgrade Zoo is a must. This Zoo, or Garden of Good Hope, as they call it, is nestled in a green area of Kalemegdan Fortress and has very interested variety of wild life animals to see. My son love it. We go there almost every weekend. His favorite is a alligator Mujo who has been with Belgrade Zoo since... More

Having been to other zoo's outside the UK we weren't hopeful of a good experience here, but we're pleasantly surprised. It was 400 Dinar as the entrance fee. There were lots of different animals, some wandering round on the paths. The cages were often small but there were lots of workers around tending to the animals and washing things down.... More

It is small ZOO in city center. Doesn't have much space for animals. But people who work there are really trying to make it look good and take care of animals best they can. Maybe the best part of it is Baby Zoo. Belgrade Zoo had great director who really cared for animals but he died, so we will see... More

I never even went into the Belgrade zoo ( time did not permit me to visit ) but I did take many photos as well as walked around the delightful stone wall of the zoo covered in mosaics of as many animals as one could think of. It's worth 5 stars just for this beautiful wall surrounding the zoo !

As a zoo keeper working in a zoo in England I was horrified and deeply saddened by the state of this zoo. Most of the animals are housed alone or with only one companion and in the cases of wolves these are pack animals and shouldnt be on their own. Enclosures were small and dirty looking. The animals had very... More

Belgrade Zoo is situated in the centre of the city in Kalemegdan Park, its one of the oldest zoos in Europe. The zoo has a large number of animals representing many different species considering its quite small in size. Some of the enclosures due to the size of the zoo and way its been built aren't very good in terms... More
