The Sutu Palace is situated in the center of Bucharest, next to Universitate Metro Station and very close to Intercontinental Hotel. The Musem have a nice architecture, and here you can find a museum about the Bucharest history. Also, inside the yard you can find very often some fairs, where you can buy traditional stuff. More

This a little like one of those small town scrap book museums in an old house although thi one is in an old Palace. Billed as the History of Bucharest Museum it really doesn't tell the story. It has a hodge podge of ancient artifacts, a couple of nice room restorations and oddly almost half the museum is devoted to... More

The picture is not right. The Palace is located in the middle of Bucharest and is a smaller mansion, which used to belong to a noble family that gave wonderful soirees in the 19th Century. The huge staircase with 1-piece mirror and superb chandelier is still there, plus an ingenious wall clock going in reverse [it projects into the mirror].... More

Old building, in good shape, interesting stuff about the old city of Bucharest, how the city evolved... The museum is not big, but worth to be visited. More

The Soutzo family gave the land great rulers and dignitaries. Their palace was built in 1832-4 to the plans of Austrian architects Johann Veit and Konrad Schwink. The building is composite in style, featuring neo-Gothic details combined with neo-classical elements. The interior was decorated by the sculptor Karl Storck (1826-1887) and preserves intact many elements of the original decor. In... More

The museum used to be the property of the Sutu family, a high-class family who frequently housed balls and dancing evenings. As far as I know, the family has later gave it as a gift to the city of Bucharest. In the present, the museum organizes antiquities trade meetings and there are frequent painting or sculpture galleries. The permanent gallery... More
