Not a patch on British parks who seem to have much better lawns and flower beds. However, this park compares favourably with others I have seen in Romania and the 8km walk around the lake is a real challenge. Beware of bicycles that stray from their pathways and are a real menace. Best bit of the park is the "Hard... More

Although the park is starting to look a little tired- think broken benches that you can't sit on and ugly port-a-potties, it's still a lovely place to walk in the city.

Not to small not to big parck within a short run from the hotel. Makes running more fun. In the night is lit and free of lose dogs.

It's a peaceful haven from the polluted streets of down town where you can hire bikes, I imagine it is better in the summer when you can do lake cruises but it has a fair amount of nice plant life

Had lunch at embassy park restaurant. Walked around the park and rented a two person bike. Walked along the river. Many separate playgrounds for kids. Weather was great making for a perfect day at the park.

Herastrau Park is a large park situated on the northern side of Bucharest situated around Lake Herastrau, we visited in April and were firstly shocked by how big it actually was and secondly how much there was to do! This place has everything boating, cycling, the Dimitrie Gusti National Village Museum which features traditional Romanian houses, an open air theatre,... More

We spent almost the whole day wandering through this wonderful village. It is absolutely amazing how people lived a hundred to a hundred years ago. Their ingenuity was absolutely incredible. I would highly recommend a visit to this village if you have an opportunity when you were in Bucharest.
