I highly recommend the walkabout free tour in Bucharest. Cami was very knowledgeable and passionate about her city. A lot of little stories and facts that help you understand how Bucharest became what it is today.

Thank you, Paddy, for your kind review. I'm really happy you enjoyed the tour. This is what we aim for - people to understand Bucharest and Romanians a little bit better. I'm really happy you got this from the tour! :) Safe travels! More

I'm not sure how Stefan and his friends make this business work. It really is a free tour and it is every bit as good as the ones you pay $20 to attend. The walk starts under the clock at the Unirii Park and goes through Old Town and up to the University Square and takes perhaps 2.5 hours. Our... More

The tour guide we had was very knowledgeable and you could tell she had a passion on explaining the history and stories of Bucharest. The tour lasted around 2 hours and we saw a lot. It was also very hot but our guide said if we needed to stop to get water we could which was great. You learn so... More

the tour was very nice. funny, interesting, well organized. I give five for it. very nice English. we´re a bit plenty, as they´d presume (yeah a big orthodox Easter´s Saturday) they´re 2 of them so they split us in order to have not too much listeners for one guide

Relaxed, informative and the guide was Andrei Stanciu who was very welcoming and charming. Lots of inside information of Bucharest and Romania that may not necessarily be in the guide books. It's really helpful to hear about the goings on from a local's perspective. Andrei gave recommendations for places to drink and dine. A tip for the tour guide is... More

Our guide was Cami, young marketing professional and passionate romanian girl. Not only she showed key buildings in Bucharest (except for Parlament Palace) but also told many interesting stories, especially from the communist period. She wasnt strong in history but that wasnt a problem for me. After the tour she gave tips where to drink/eat. ALso, I met other interesting... More

I believe our guide was Taruc (spelling?). He was so energetic and knowledgeable, despite the withering heat. His enthusiasm was contagious and everyone (group of around 20) seemed quite interested. I had taken another tour earlier in the day (paid for), but joined this one for the company and additional information. I think I learned more on this one, plus... More

We joined this walking tour on the day of our arrival in Bucharest was very interesting and informative. From the Middle Ages to the post communist era, we learned a lot about the city, the people and their humor. Highly recommended! I wrote a short blog post about it here if you are interested: https://notaclash.wordpress.com/2015/07/04/walking-in-bucharest/

We enjoyed this tour a lot. It was very informative, yet not too detailed or boring. Michaela, our guide, did a superb job, and made it fun couple of hours. She gave us a good idea for Bucharest and Romania history, as well as a glimpse into the present daily life. The stories, the humor, and her openess to answer... More
