I go there every day with my bike, and it's never boring or similar... The best part is its southern part, full of intact nature (forest, water, bike and walking paths, pebbles, park for children).... I love it! There is also possibility to walk on the overbank along the river Sava, its marvellous...Unspoiled, beautiful nature so close to trams, buses,... More

Taken there by local friends. Overrated. Not worth the trip. Poor food, average coffee and drinks. Water activity no big deal.

Jarun Lake in the capital city of Zagreb is a popular getaway for residents and visitors alike at any time of the year, but especially in summer when the clear waters are ideal for swimming. Good for swimming, canoeing, pedal boat and windsurfing.

Lake Jarun is off course a lil far from the main Zagreb city but a trip here is worth the travel you make. Beautiful and serene by the day and a hot shot party place by the night. this place is filled with good night clubs, some playing Croatian Music, some EDM etc. One can easily club hop here as... Is perfect to take a walk and drink a coffee on Sundays . To walk around you need about 1.30h is nice and it pass quick. Really good! In summer is full of people swimming, there are concerts, sport clubs, caffe places, grill places (where on Sunday you can see families grilling or celebrating kids birthdates ) is just beautiful.... Great place to have coffee or tea with a loved one or friends. I love walking there and spending time in Nature at Lake Jarun. Many people go there for recreation, either rolled-blading, or bike-riding. It is clean, there are migratory birds that come by, and it is very peaceful. It is not for the trendy or people looking for... More

I went here because all of the museums were closed and this lake had gained some good reviews. The few restaurants that seemed to be around here were closed because of the winter. The lake itself is a large man-made rectangle with a walking track around. I didn't find it very attractive or interesting.

Not sure why anyone would head out to Jarun Lake unless there was a specific event there you had to attend. The restaurants and cafes are only average and the lake itself it also average. Not worth the trip out of the centre for tourists. If you staying close by then it's a good place to stretch your legs or... More
