A great market, full of local produce. Well worth a visit. The oranges were particularly lovely. Well done the Croatians for making your capital city one of the best places to visit.

We rented an apartment for a few days (instead of going to a sterile hotel room) so that we could enjoy Zagreb like locals: buying food on the farmers' market and enjoying it soon after. Their selection of salads and arugula (roquette in French) is great, so are the cheeses and fruits.

Dolac market is located just next to the Zagreb main square (although hidden away behind a row of buildings). It's said to have been built to connect the modern Lower Town with the old Upper Town. There's an open-air fruit & vegetable market on the highest level, with some stalls selling local handicraft. Below there's a covered market hall, where... More

Homemade cheese, fresh vegetables, meats, fish, souvenirs, pastas, breads you name it. A good overall market. Fun to watch the locals and learn the culture. Sit at one of the cafes and watch the people go by. Best way to experience any city is the market! Oh, an go fill you liter bottle with wine for $3!

You can find fresh fruits and vegetable on the upper ground level of Dolac Market. As well, there is cheese, souvenirs and restaurants around. In the lower ground level, you can find meat, ham, bread, cheese and more. The food is fresh and at reasonable price. It's open even on Sundays. Go and explore the city starting from the market.

Tired of eating unhealthy (yet very tasty food). Drop by the market on a weekday morning, buy your veggies and fruits, and sit on one of the coffee shops facing the square. I sat at Prizma-Planet and watch people go by and shop for an hour or so, while sipping two great cups of stretto (expresso coffee). Side-note: the place... More

Not interesting at all as the varieties in both produce and the meat, fish sections are very limited in selection

If you fruit and vegetable lover, it's your place. Dolac Market is really traditional market for fruit and vegetables. All is fresh, and cannot bargains, but the price is cheap! You can buy souvenir also in this market. Easy to find because in front of cathedral.

Really more suited to the locals than tourists as it's simply meat and fresh produce for sale. No food to go on offer which I was hoping for. Sure, take a 5 minute stroll around but don't get your hopes up.

Dolac is a must for a food lover! I recommend you go to the lower in door section which is full of fresh pasta, bakeries, meat and entire fresh cheese section. This place is full of old locals busy going about their daily routine, Saturday mornings are chaos but always interesting.
