A great outdoor market (and don't miss the big indoor market below)! Fruit, vegetables, cheeses, meats of all kinds, specialty food items, and more. All sold by small farmers and vendors. We had coffee and pastries on the edge of the market watching the action. Then we wondered around the market for an hour. Definitely worth a visit.

Dolac Market is closed to the Cathedral so is to find it. I liked all these red umbrellas, the colours of fruits and vegitables, i just wanted to buy some but there is not enought time when you intend to see too many things.Maybe next time.

This is one of the better markets in terms of variety, local color and vibe. Fish, meat, produce and textiles.....multiple levels both indoors and outside. Everything is sooooooo fresh! Bring your camera and snap away. Notice that the vast majority of clientele are elderly. This will probably not exist in twenty years?

Walked through the market on our stop over in Zagreb, the fruit looked spectacular with all the different colours and very fresh. They seem to take care in how it is arranged and set up onto the tables. Very friendly lady at one of the souvenir stalls.

I'm not sure if this is because fruit is expensive where I live, I could buy fruit with cheap price. very close to the cathedral.

A great market, full of local produce. Well worth a visit. The oranges were particularly lovely. Well done the Croatians for making your capital city one of the best places to visit.

We rented an apartment for a few days (instead of going to a sterile hotel room) so that we could enjoy Zagreb like locals: buying food on the farmers' market and enjoying it soon after. Their selection of salads and arugula (roquette in French) is great, so are the cheeses and fruits.

Dolac market is located just next to the Zagreb main square (although hidden away behind a row of buildings). It's said to have been built to connect the modern Lower Town with the old Upper Town. There's an open-air fruit & vegetable market on the highest level, with some stalls selling local handicraft. Below there's a covered market hall, where... More

Homemade cheese, fresh vegetables, meats, fish, souvenirs, pastas, breads you name it. A good overall market. Fun to watch the locals and learn the culture. Sit at one of the cafes and watch the people go by. Best way to experience any city is the market! Oh, an go fill you liter bottle with wine for $3!
