This is a lovely park, with ample space for walking or bike riding. Bikes can be rented very reasonably from the extremely friendly staff who operate from almost right in front of the entrance. The park is easily accessible by tram from the centre of town and takes about 20 minutes. It is right opposite the football stadium.. Entry to... More

I don't think I'm exaggerating. For a smallish European City of 700k this is a superb city park and woodland. I looked at one of the other reviewers and they're saying there isn't much to see or do!!!! It's a park and woodland, you're supposed to enjoy the peace and nature, woodland and lakes. What more would you want to... More

Park Maksimir is a nice place to visit on a day when Dinamo is not playing. It is nice, big and quiet. In the past a part of it was a zoo but I am not sure if it is still there. In general, just like any big city a visit to a park helps. Enjoy it.

I've seen a lot of parks and this one is nice, but nothing special. It's great if you have kids and want to get out for a walk or take them to one of the many playgrounds. There just isn't that much to see/do there. People take their dogs for walks there and they poop on the grass everywhere, so... More

It was a great visit to Maksimir Park, there was a stunning zoo inside. I didn't know that a tarantula was that big :)

It's a huge reason to love Zagreb because it's a really beautiful and peaceful park which is very large and where you can lose track of time while walking. The Pavillion of Echoes is located inside park and definitely a must see.

I really like Maksimir, and I am so sad because we don't have nice ZOO. Maksimir is amazing for relaxing, walking and driving with bike. I go there with my friend, with bike, and we always try to find something new. There are many little lakes that I adore. The best thing about Maksimir is Vidikovac, you can sit there,... More
