This is a nice place to take a break in Zagreb and just relax. They also have a mini zoo here which is in my opinion far from the modern standards and some animals are suffering in the too small cages which is not really nice. But on the bright side, this park is a nice place for exercising, sitting... More

Wow!!! What a park, it has huge grass fields to just relax on and nice quiet spots to sit and read in. A nice pond to walk around, an excellent bike trail, wonderful paths for running. Altogether its a really nice park, good for kids, i saw they have a zoo and swings etc.. Getting to the park is best... More

Maksimir Park was so lush and green, enjoyed our time there, walking along the path, watching the birds collecting twigs for the nests, swans grooming them selves, . going up the hill to see Vidikovic, visiting St. Juraj Chaplel, sad that it was closed and then returning to Pavilion Of Echos to eat our packed lunch. Wear comfortable walking shoes and... More

Maksimir Park is a large greenbelt located outside of central Zagreb. It was easy to get to by tram. It was a nice place to spend several hours walking through primitive trails in the woods and by small lakes. It has a small zoo that is worthwhile, but it needs to catch up to modern zoo standards to give more... More

This place is THE place if you want to relax in Zagreb. Forget the spa resorts and go to the park to relax and feel some fresh air. It's not far from anything and I highly recommend to take a walk through the park.

This park is a very nice place for a run! It took me two visits to discover the whole park, there is a whole wild life side to it, definitely worth visiting!

Despite being close to the city centre you only have to walk a few minutes before the sound of the traffic is replaced by the birds. Really lovely park to while away the hours. Five lakes, good paths and plenty of shade and benches.

This huge park is close to the Dinamo stadium and few hours are not enough to visit it! It has lots of lakes, meadows and creek. When it comes to facilities, you can easily find restaurants, cafeterias and restrooms.
