Even if you have to pay to visit the synagogue, it worth the 6 Lev per person. If you are interested by what it's called the "Tolerance Quarter" in Sofia, you must visit the synagogue. More

For 1 euro entry it is very good value. Worth seeing on your way to the mosque. It is pretty and has an interesting history. With only 2,000 Jews left in Bulgaria it is no longer used. Ring the bell at the front gate to be let inside! More

The synagogue was undergoing restoration when i last visited it. Well worth a visit. Find it behind the central market. More

the place was not opened at the written opened hours. we must arrived with the group twice to visit a very special place. must to be visited!! More

This is a very impressive building from the exterior.Unfortunately i coulnt gain admission.the only entrance door that i found was locked.A shame as i would like to have sen the interior as it is a sephardi communitty. More

This is a beautifully Moorish designed Sephardic synagogue only one of two still functioning in Bulgaria (the other is in Plovdiv).
