This is a really satisfying journey into the foothills of Sofia. The church itself is a priceless gem. It is one of the few of its type that I have seen still standing with all it's frescoes and paintings inside. The cost is 10 Lev to go inside and it's truly worth it. The Boyana Church is a must see for anyone going to Sofia. It is a UNESCO world heritage site and the oldest part is 900 years old. The paintings on the walls are amazing and for a small fee you can be escorted in to this area. It is amazing to go to a site as priceless and historically significent... more
