Literally, it's in the center of Tirana which is a hub for many of the bus lines in the city and I pass by it almost daily for one reason or another. It's cool but if you know about who this guy is and what he means to the Albanian people and their history, it's pretty cool. If you are... More

So this statue is also in the main square. you can learn about more about Skanderbeg and his significance for albanians. there is not too much things actually to see in tirana but skanderbeg will expand your culture and history knowledge. enjoy...

It is nice to pass by, but not much to see here, just a statue in the middle of a square, not much else going on around it

Skanderbeg was our most important National Hero, but the monument in Tirane is just Skanderbeg on his horse, and the police from Bashkia Tirana told us not to walk on the grass. Comon, its just grass!!

Its been some time since my last visit to Tirana. Well the central Skenderbeg square is a very nice place very nicely renovated and ice lighted spot. Tirana has too much and too bussy traffic but this spot here is a place to visit

The Skanderberg statue is definitely a symbol, linking old and new Tirana. Not surprising it is widely offered in postcards and souvenirs!

Really nothing special about this statue. Right in the heart of Skanderbeg Square it is impossible to miss. I have included a picture that shows the statue, the mosque and the clock tower all in one photo to show the near proximity of the "attractions" in Tirana.
